When we flew out of Manchester in May we got to the airport 2 1/2 hours before the flight. When we checked in we were not together (Steve in row 12, me and Beth in row 26). When we boarded the plane the girl sat next to me was travelling on her own and hadn't pre booked her seat and had only checked in an hour before! She very kindly swapped seats with Steve.
Once on board the plane the crew were going mad because every family who hadn't pre booked seats were seperated! They told us they were convinced FC were doing it on purpose to get you to pre book.
Sorry
thanks for that advice, we have always been lucky and got together, not risking it this time, just rung first choice to pre book, thanks once again

Hi, Does anyone know if they do a babysitting service in your room? We went to the Holiday Village Costa Del Sol and they did there, If so how long will they sit for? We want to book for next year but really want to do skuba diving and I know you can't go off site when they're in kids club.
Not been on the site today until now as ive been up to my eyes in packing. We're all really getting exited now 3 sleeps to go Just wanted to comment re the seat booking thing I understand what purrfect1968 is saying and its a good saving but for the cost of 5 prebookable seats as opposed to 3 wouldn't be worth me worrying about it, I can imagine once you are on the plane and theres a problem sitting together they would get the adults to split up to sit with the kids even though they say they wouldn't do that.
My twin girls (age 9) are fancying ago at diving this year (an introduction to it anyway) as in Egypt the age restriction is low at 8 years old. Hubbis is all for it as he's a scuba diver
Isabel would relish an introduction to scuba diving.
We are packed now and just need to leave the house clean and tidy.
See you Thursday
Pat
Hope to have it finished tomorow.
How will we know you at the airport? maybe a daffodil behind your right ear
hi have just joined as have a few questions travelling on 18th August do you have to get up really early for sunbeds and should i book the themed restaurants as soon as i arrive. any advise would be greatly appreciated
Not travelling until next May but does anyone know if there are age restrictions in place if you want to visit the pyramids? My nephew is only 8 and wanted to go but someone told us you hvae to be 12 to book a trip there???
Not sure yet how you will recognise us other than Jane will be stressed , Kids will be hyper and I will be heading for the bar!!
Will let you know what we will be wearing and I can assure you it won't be a daffodil behind my ear , maybe a shamrock!
Packing done yet?
Pat
Sunbeds can be a problem, as per my full review. You may have to join the 'towel army' and get them down between 7.00 and 7.30 to make sure you get a bed with some shade, otherwise there's always the beach, which is never full.
Best to book the restuarants in the first few days to avoid disappointment, you can always cancel if you don't want to go.
Regards
Martyn
Thanks Martyn never yet been anywhere where they have enough sunbeds !!!!!!!!!!!!
Slightly , but flying from Gatwick, can anyone tell me what Terminal it will be? North or South??
Think it depends on who you are flying with - we flew from the North Terminal with First Choice.
I assumed everyone going to HV flew with FC, is this not the case then? I was hoping it would be from South Terminal as the shops and restaurants are much better there! I start my holiday the second i enter the airport!!
thats us all packed and ready to go. really can't wait now im wearing black pants and a red t shirt hubi will be wearing grey adidas pants not sure what top he'l decide in the morn prob take him a while when he realises all his fav tops are in the suitcase, the twins make us fairly easy to spot especially if their hair is the same up or down, we've got a black case, green case, pink case and a red case x
oh ps 1 sleep to go
Have a great time Louise, I wish we were back over there in the sun, it hasn't stopped raining since we got back 8 days ago!!
Think I am 98% packed!! 3 red suitcases full to the brim with the contents of the house (well it feels like it) so wish I could do the type of packing that fits clothes for 3 into a carry on bag in my dreams.
I will be wearing 3/4 black trousers and either white t`shirt or green and white stripped t, Katie will have on 3/4 white trousers and a pink t`shirt with a white cartoon cat thingie on it with a daffy duck bag, himself well not really sure yet, he normally decides 5 mins before the taxi turns up!
Hope FC are ok with the weights I have one case about 22 and the others are 17`ish. One case is just full of sun lotions and toiletries (yes will be opening a small version of `Boots` when I get there) you name it I think I`ve packed it.
I`m having an afternoon chilling now... just got to paint my nails a lovely shade of pink.
Hope to see you at the airport.
