Has anyone stayed in or seen a jacuzzi junior suite and what did you think of it. Also is it worth requesting a certain block or not?
I have a baby with me-is there anywhere i can buy nappies and also baby jars as id rather stick to these for the week to limit the chances of a tummy bug.
Do you need to take extra towels or was there plenty?
Is it likely to be coldish on an evening at this time of year?
Sorry for the q's-its my first time here
many thanks
just to Answer a few questions i hope this helps
the jacuzzi junior suite a couple we made friend with said that is was not worth the extra money the water was a bit yellow she used it for the kids to bath in
( but this is just what i herd not by personal experience )
as for extra towels No need every day the cleaner comes in and if there dirty leave them on the floor then there changed
but the cleaner changes them 3 times a week clean or dirty so no need for extra towels
leave the room for gifts to bring back lol
as for being cold i cant Answer as we went in December the 1st to the 15th and was told its was cold but we found it nice i was walking round in vests at 11pm
so maybe its a personal preference is you was to take something you would need something very light
cant really answer on the baby nappies or food
my children are 12 and 10
but in the holiday village shop just down stairs from the reception there is baby food i am shore of it
Now as for a block i stayed in Block 10 ground floor room room number 10107
this was a lovely room and right in the middle of it all no Noise you have their quiet pool out the back now called the heated pool
you are in and round every thing 2 min walk to the activity pool and beach
right near to the reception club house this is up stairs and no worries you hear nothing
your next to the main restaurant this was good for us
again its your preference
were going on the 29th November again
loved it and so will you will have to let me know how you got on
as for the change of food and thing i brought a small chemist with me LOL and all i needed was a plaster because a friends little girl cut her toe
but i will still bring paracitamole
and plasters sun creams
we also had a bottle of Water by the bathroom sink to remind us to use this when we brushed our teeth
if you need you fridge cleared so little ones don't take chocolate and drinks out that cost a small fortune
this is the email for ramy Morris he will do every thing he can for you and your family to make it a happy holiday
email: ramy-moris@coralsearesorts.com
i hope this helps you
shandygirlx
Thank you so much for your reply shandygirl-it has cleared up lots for me.
The shop on site sells pamper nappies but i did notice that they were only up to size 4.
There is a supermarket just down the road from the hotel that also sells nappies, my cousin was there in Dec and bought baby fruit pots but i dont know about actual jars but i am sure they would.
We were there in sept, my little boy was 15 months, we had a fabulous time and are going back in may, enjoy!
Hope this helps. x
sorry i forgot to tell you
the email i gave you if you email ramy and ask for you fridge to be empty and filled with water he will do this free of charge
just don't forget to say at the end of your stay that you had nothing in your fridge
have a great time
p.s
Don't use the phone i was on the phone for 4 mins and cost me 80 Egyptian pounds
dont get to sun burnt
shandygirlx
Thank you to you both for your replies
Hi just up the road is the Metro supermarket that is large and very well stocked and sells lots of baby products. Also lots of pharmacies do as well near to the hotel. Daytime at the moment is in the 80's but you do tend to get a breeze in Nabq and this time of year you will need an extra layer for the evenings.
..ref phone just make sure yours is unlocked and get a sim when you are there. I top mine up each time and use it all the time and never top up more than 20le per 2 week visit. The internet shop at La Strada sells sims or further down there are a couple of Vodafone shops.
Also has anyone got any recommendations for room numbers/block numbers.
I have booked two standard rooms, requesting them as next to each other and we like a quiet location if possible.
Thanks to anyone who replies.

As you know my youngest did her PADI OWR in Sharm last year
We used Aquarius- they operate out of The Holiday Village and CSR ( and the Conrad)
They were great - all the First Choice bookings were with them ( 10% off if you book online)

Based on what your daughter did last time looks like she needs the "scuba upgrade course" here
http://www.aquariusredsea.com/DivingCenters/DstCnts.aspx?Dst=2&Cnt=17&Itm=132
No mention of prices on their website so I cant check if the price is on par with what others charge . Looks like you have to email them for that.

We were in Block 6 and had a childrens den,and although its a good block for sea views there are only 8 rooms in this block and the 2 middle ones are childrens dens.
Its a lovely hotel and I am sure you will have a great time,Jay
I have their price list from last year on e mail
SCUBA upgrade was 115 sterling (with out the online discount). Doesn't include the certificate and I presume you will have the manual from last year

Just looked on their website - prices are there under "booking" - its gone up to 165
We are off to HV in May, last time we were there we had a swim up rm, but going with friends this year and as both have toddlers we have booked interconncecting rms.
Are all the interconnecting rooms above the swim up blocks? I know our swim up room had a connecting door with the rm next door.
Thanks
Gemma

Found it now that sounds very reasonable to me Chris/Lynne
We have booked a family suite at the holiday village. Can anyone tell me what these rooms are like. The brochure only lists a junior suite so I presume it is named differently in the brochure does anyone know which one it is. Thanks
Thanks for all the brill advice re the diving. £165 sounds great to me, I was dreading it being £300 or £400, I assume we need to take all the paperwork from the 'discover scuba' from last summer at Lykia. I cant tell you how pleased she is, as she was worried it was going to go to waste and have to be redone.
I have been a real cheapskate with the rooms and just booked two 'ordinary rooms' whatever they may be. I didnt pay extra for swim-ups as I would imagine the swin-up pool will be impossible to get in during April, the unheated pools at the Crowne Plaza and Rennaisance were freezing at this time of year before.
I didnt pay for interconnecting either though, as it wasn't giving me that option on the web-site.
Just normal rooms, select rooms and swim-up rooms.
I am just hoping for two rooms that are next to each other.
Might push my luck and email 48 hours before and ask for block 7 if that is what you recommend Jay.
Haven't paid for interconnecting last two visits to Sharm but always got them anyway, by emailing hotel two days before.
Sorry Gemma not been before so can't answer your question. Hopefully someone else will.
