Hi Penny,
Ask for Block 13, in particular room 13101, it gets the sun from morning till night. THe rest of the rooms in that block do too, just room 101 gets it right till the last.
Definitely worth booking, it was wonderful. Also if you're in that block the wonderful waiters at the heated pool bar will bring you up drinks too.
Will post a full review soon, but we had a wonderful time!

Having never been to Egypt can anyone tell me what the weather is like then and is it likely to be very quiet in the resort and less things on as it out of season.
Many thanks
.
Hi, we are a family of 4 (2 young children) and are going to the holiday village in sharm in March. I did read reviews etc prior to book but since booking my FIL has said no way would he go there or take the children Now im feeling bad and this was supposed to be a nice (and blooming expensive family holiday). He said its dodgy and most have stomach problems.
Most of the sickness reported on the reviews are during the summer months when the weather is at its hottest and the hotel is 100%full.March will be lovely and the hotel will probably not be full to capacity.
Look at the latest reviews on here and Trip advisor, they are fine. Its a great hotel ,especially for children.
I wish I was going!Tell your F.I.L I will go in his place.

I can never understand why some people do this to others. I'm presuming he has never actually stayed there himself but is generalising about "tales" he may have heard from others. Yes, you may suffer from a jippy tummy, but maybe you won't, not "everyone" does & that could happen to anyone, anywhere. The reviews on here & also on tripadvisor seem positive (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g297555-d662190-Reviews-Red_Sea_Holiday_Village-Sharm_El_Sheikh_South_Sinai_Red_Sea_and_Sinai.html). I would suggest you just put what he says to the back of your mind & carry on looking forward to your holiday. Have a great holiday & don't forget to take plenty photo's to show him what a great time you had.
Thank you both for your positive replies..i have been one worried mum tonight and your replies have reassured me. Yes your right he has never been before-just generalising. He has also told us not to leave the resort at all!...im going to ask him not to mention it again i think!
The hotel gets good reports and most of the tummy bugs come in June, July, Aug when it is mega hot and bacteria multiplys big time. Just be sensible and do all the normal handwashing things you do at home, and perhaps take antibac gel with you to use after you have handled any LE.
I'm sure you will have a fab time.
You can go outside the Holiday Village as the Nabq bay is lovely. You can also go to Naama bay on the bus from the hotel on an evening.
I am going with the hubby and my 2 daughters who are 3 and 7, im sure it will be fun!
Will post reviews when we are back.
Any one who is been, advice is appreciated!
You will have a fabulous time, have taken our two twice to egypt now and going again this year we go in height of summer and have only been ill once which only lasted 12 hours, my two 11 and 7 love egypt we took them to the pyramids for 2 days last year which they loved dont worry about it anymore and just look forward to a great holiday.
We are going on 2 March 9 days and counting!!
What is the temp likely to be???
What factor sun lotion would you recommend??
Are the pools, sea going to be warm??
Thankyou
xx
Hi if your pool isnt heated then it is likely to be cold. Temps will be early 30's. It does tend to be windy at this time of year so you may need a cardi for the eves. Sun factor would depend on your skin.
Hello there, Do any of the rooms have 2 separate normal beds. Or do they just have one big bed and camp beds.
do you need to take ur own towels?
to answer the question above ( paddyco )
We had one Massive bed and 2 camp beds we went to a friends room and they had the same style lay out
and another friends room had one massive bed and a sofa bed and a camp bed but she was in a
Select room
hope this helps
bye 4 now shandygirlx
Thanks for that shandygirlx, we will be in a suite. As long as the camp beds or sofabed are comfortable we can live with that. We just picked the suite hoping it would have Twin beds.
yeah the camp beds are comfortable my two boys 12 and 10 slept like baby's in them they preferred them to our massive bed
well have a good Holiday your love it
bye for now
