Thanks for that, I'll send them an email, I'll let you know if I get a response.
Just returned from a 2 week holiday at the holiday village viva.
I have a couple of questions
1)What trips do first choice over and what are the rough costs are they over the odds
2)Can you use sterling to pay for kids clubs activities etc, when i stayed at the Turkey H/V
You could pay in sterling or lira but would get it would work out cheaper paying with sterling.
Also anyother tips you have tc
Darren
Were there set time slots for dinner?
Is there a microwave in the restaurant?
Any advice on which block is best to stay in (something close to one of the pools but not too noisy of a night time as we have a two year old).
Do you know if milk was readily available on the complex. Any help or advice you can give I would be grateful for.
Thank you.
Regards
Steely
One last thing what was the weather like?
We had a wonderful holiday, thanks.
Weather was hot, hot, hot! 39 degrees on two of the days. Alot warmer than I expected for this time of year ....Perfect.(it was even a shock for the locals)
You can buy cravendale Milk from the shop, which is on the complex.
We stayed in block 5, looking out to the pool, on a top floor ( I e mailed the hotel prior to going and requested this). It was great for us, and not even a minute walk to the pools.
The entetainment was still inside, so the night times were not noisy, but I believe they will be moving outside soon, so that may make it noisy at night.
We did not go on any trips, nothing looked appealing to take a 4 year old on. Especially not in the hot weather we were having.
We stayed all inclusive, and had to give our room number to purchase other things, then pay the bill when leaving.
Kids pool was coolish but the other pools were lovely.
Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week (excluding Wednesday & sunday)
Microwaves are in the dining rooms, and evening meals start from 6.30pm, no set times.
We had 2 meals in the Caribbean & 2 in the Italian( Italian is part of the main restaurant) and the caribbean is the pool side day snach bar, but with table clothes on! both ok though.
Hope this helps. xx Enjoy your hols.
Hi - That's great thanks really helps a lot.
Hi,
The picafort address now seems not to be working...typical
Hi Humpty Dumpty - Can you confirm what email you used, I have tried the picafort@hotelsviva.com email and it came back undeliverable, I've also tried picafort@hotelviva.com. Both of them came back undeliverable. Cheers.
If you go on hotelsvista.com and send a message through the contact section, the hotel will get the message.
Hope this helps.
Enjoy your holiday x
We have booked self catering here in August and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if i can book All Inclusive when i get there? If so how much is it for adults and children? Do you have to book it for the whole week or can you do AI just for the odd day?
thanks
I am going to HVV on the 28th July 2009 for the first time with my 2 kids (11 & 9)..
Firstly, I know there is an Internet area with PC's, but does anyone know if there is wireless broadband available (even if I have to pay for it?) I run a business and it would be much cheaper to use this than to pay roaming charges for data with a UK SIM card..
Secondly, are the kids clubs OK for quite grown up 11/9 yo's? I am going on my own as Dad, so want to make sure they get the very best out of the holiday and don't have to be stuck with me all the time!!!
Many thanks
It can be done daily or even down to an individual meal
Is bottled water available during the day for AI guests.
Any recommendations on which block/room number.
Have heard Block 5 mentioned as a good one, close to Splash Park.
Do AI guests were a wrist band or something, never been AI before.
Thanks
entirely depends what you want, block 5 is next to the pool and splash park, if you have a room at front overlooks those, if at the back overlooks a road , 4 is the other side of the pool, again rear rooms look onto a quiet road, 3 overlooks a pond at front, and road at back, 2 and 1 are closer to reception and set a bit back from the pool. None are more than 5 minutes walk from anything, not much to choose between them to be honest. Entirely personal choice
And yes AI you wear a band
HELLO,
WE HAVE WIRELES INTERNET AVAILABLE IN THE RECEPTION AREA BUT NO AT THE ROOMS. IT'S FREE. YOU COULD ASK FOR THE WIFI CODE AT THE RECEPCTION TOO.
BEST REGARDS
MAGDA
Are snacks such as crisps and nuts included in the All Inclusive deal.
no, none of the snacks they sell are included so bring plenty of spends or pack them in your suitcase. They have a small shop onsite but it is very expensive alternitively about 5 minutes walk from the hotel is a supermarket to purchase milk, coffee, tea snacks etc... a lot cheaper just walk out the hotel down past the park to the main road and turn right 2 mins walk up just past the petrol station have a great holiday xx
