Thanks emmaboo..
However i'm having trouble finding these pictures.. could you please point me in the right direction???? thanks...
Hi the_seguins it takes a while to get the photos in the majorca album but you can view them at the moment on photo galleries page 1 the " upload " section just below " War Memorials " and my photos are the first three pages. Otherwise they will probably be under the Majorca section by tomorrow. Good Luck...
Is there a safe in the rooms? If so do you have to pay for them?
Are there hairdriers and Irons in the rooms? (save me taking one)
Is the pirates adventure worth doing? I know it is expensive but have heard some great reviews ( we have 8 children with us ranging from 14 to 4 so will it keep them all entertained)
are there any other excursions that you could recommend with all the children?
Are there clothes hangers in the wardrobes, dont really want to take our own and from past experience hotels never supply enough, and what is the storage like in the rooms?
Thanks in advance for any replies
Only 29 more sleeps to go, so my daughter says lol
safe in room cost 21euros for 1 week and you get 5 euros back it did cost more for 2 weeks though i cant remember how much.
there is a hairdryer in room but it is fixed to sink area its ok but would recommend taking one.
there are no irons in room but there is one in the laundry room by indoor swimming pool
there are two large wardrobes with about 10 hangers in each one there are also 4 shelves in each one
havent done any excursions but pirates seems to be the one to do
towels for pool area 5 euros deposit for each one you can change them 3 times per week. plenty of bath and hand towels in room.
with such a large party i suggest booking both restaurants as soon as you arrive to get the days you want. this is done between 9.30 and 10.30am in reception
ive just uploaded photos of the rooms in the photo galleries. majorca. c'an picafort section
Hope you have a great time .........we did
Thanks Emma thats brill, cant wait now. Im itching to pack but we got 4 weeks yet. There are 12 of us going altogether 4 adults and 8 children so should be fun lol.
As we seem to have a few people answering quesitons on here... I have a couple if someone could offer their comments..
What are the recommendations on which block to stay in (Ground floor or top floor?)??? etc..
What was the transfer time from the airport to the village ? Was it a slow process at the airport getting everyone organized and on the bus?
Thanks...
i dont think it matters what block your in we were in block 2. Though if i was you i would like to be in block 5 as its closest to the splash park and easier to nip to your room to the loo etc .......... theres ground floor , 1st floor and 2nd we was on the second this year and theres no one to be heared walking above you which was a bonus. A lot of prams seemed to be on the ground floor......
Transfer was 1hr there and 45 mins back... both ways the coach was inclusive for holiday village guests... bus was empty on the way there and i guess there was more traffic
it was a fair walk to the baggage area by the time we got there the bags were going around the belt. from landing to getting the coach about an hour.
Also if you want to make drinks in your room you can buy milk in the shop (cravendale) they have sugar sachets and coffee sachets in the restaurant but the tea bags are not good ...... i would take your own
Good luck
I have a couple of questions:
How long is the walk into town and are there any good local restaurants?
Is there a coin operated laundry service at the hotel?
Has anyone used the internet facilities and what are they like. Do they have wireless broadband at all? We are self employed and have to do a fair amount of work when we are there.
I have read that the rooms are fairly spacious. Presumably the bedroom is a separate room from the sofa beds for the kids. Does it have a double bed or is it twins?
Hopefully we should have some good weather when we are there. We have 3 children, the youngest of which is only 1, but as they only have one bed apartments, this will probably be our first and last time at the HVV.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who reads and replies.
its about a 10 min walk to town and about 15 mins back its a slight hill. i was AI so never eat out perhaps someone else can help you here.
there is a laundry room by indoor pool it had about 3 domestic machines in it dont know if it was coin operated but i suppose it must have been.
our kids used the internet they have 4 pcs kids said they were quite slow compared to ours at home but it was ok. My partner said he saw someone on a laptop in reception but he didnt know if it was a guest or what????????
Yes bedroom is separate from lounge its 2 singles pushed together and to be honest we thought the kids sofa beds were loads more comfy than the bedroom.
Check out the room photos in the galleries..... page 5 majorca ...... page 3 C'an Picafort.........
Read on Holiday Watchdog that Restaurants in town were on par with that in the UK but drink was slightly cheaper..
Hope some of this helps you Sue ....
Hi Sue, what date in october are you going? We will be there until the 11th so might see you there
I have been trying to get onto the photo pages but can't get it loaded for some reason. Hubby installing new laptop so don't want to bother him at the mo
We get there on 7th for 2 weeks(Ssssh we are taking eldest out of school for 4 days before the October hols begin), cannot wait. We are AI and apparently (according to the In2Action rep in Lanzarote) the food is amazing.
See you there, mine's a large one.
Sue
we've done HV Majorca twice, Hv Costa Del Sol once.I think the facilities for older kids are by far the best at the cota del sol.... Met a family who have done HV Majorca twice, HV Costa Del Sol once, HV Turkey once and HV Lanzarote once and theyre prediction was that the Lanzarote one was the worst and Turkey was the best but they did the Majorca one twice lol work that one out...........
My question is..... can you upgrade to AI upon arrival, the reason I ask is that I've found a hol with FC for Tues 9th Sept but on S/C and we wanted to go AI really, we could go on the 13th AI but the price diff is enormous and I think it might be more cost effective to go s/C and then upgrade when we get there, can anyone shed any light on this.
For those that have been there. Do they enforce the men must wear long trousers at dinner rule?
My husband likes to wear smart shorts in the evenings, will he be thrown out if he does?
Many thanks again
Sue
You can upgrade when you get there yes..... all the HVillages offer this and from what ive read before they offer you an extra discount on the upgrade if you do it on the day of arrival. A little story............ 2 adults and 1 child arrived Tuesday upgraded Thursday and i think they said it cost them 480 euros for the rest of the week and they were allowed 1 visit to the a la carte restaurant instead of 2 visits. Also they tried to upgrade just the kid but all of them had to do it. Im sure if you read back through the old post you will find more accurate info........
Hi Sue ...... they do not inforce the long trouser rule
Thank you for the previous info.. i hadn't had a chance to thank you yet but greatly appreciated...
Only 9 days to go and can't wait..
Are you the Emma that works at the HV, I'm sure I've seen a post from your Mom (could have been on the Holiday Watchdog site) saying that her daughter works at the HV.
Hi Louize ........ no that isnt me emmaboo is just a user name............ sounds like your happy with your holiday deal hope you have a great time ............
Can anyone tell me what drinks (alcoholic) they serve there? What lager do they provide, Hubby hoping for san miguel. What shorts do they do and can you get cocktails? I read somewhere that you can get drinks in big pitchers, is this right?
Are there tennis courts there? It mentions them in the brochure but havent seen them on the pictures? If so do they hire the equipment and at what cost?
Thanks again, only 2 weeks and 5 days to go
