The Holiday Village Viva and the Viva Mallorca are 2 differant hotels. They are very close together location wise but I think that the Mallorca is not AI. I seem to remember an old thread for the HV Viva a few years back and one of the posters then thought she had booked the HV Viva and she hadn't she ended up in the Viva Mallorca. She said it was a really nice hotel despite her error.

Thanks very much for the replies. So whats the resort of Ca'n Picafort like? Have been to Alcudia is it like this?

C'an Pic is tiny compared to Alcudia. There really is no comparison. C'an Pic has a nice beach and beachfront, lovely little harbour that has a real Spanish feel to it. It has the usual souvenir (tat) shops, British Bars and restaurants. The resort is popular with the Germans and alot of the hotels and bars are German. We enjoyed our stay in C'an Pic and the beauty of it is that Alcudia is just a short trip away should you want to spend time there. It is a relaxed place to stay.

You can also read about it in our Resort Reports at the top of the page.

Hi all,

We are going to the HV Septermber 13th for a one week AI with our 14 month old boy.

I have read about the Splash pool being dug up earlier this year and replaced by a Kids Pool and slides. Can anyone confirm this?

We have had difficulty in finding what is available for an infant (climbing frames, pools, etc). Does anyone have more info and ideally some pics?

Any information appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi - there is a childrens pool next to the main pool but i remember it being very small. Dont know anything about them demolishing the splash park but if they have i imagine it is to make something better. There are 35 photos some of splash park and a slide area here.... Photo Galleries at top of this page. page 5 Majorca. page 3 Can Picafort. Im going back here in 14 days cannot wait you will have a good time... Also outside hotel turn right walk over one road and your in a childrens park.. not much there but i think it was ok.. its on way to town.

Hi emmaboo,

Thanks for the info. Since my post, I have spoken to the HVV directly as First Choice were not able to confirm.

The HVV have informed me that they have a new Kids pool with water slide. I have seen a few posts on this but would love to see some pictures if anyone has them...

Thanks..

Hi

we just came back on Saturday after 1 week stay all inc. The splash park is excellent and quite big but not at all deep. Definitely OK for 1 year old babies upwards. My kids who are 4 & 6 only played in the splash park, the main pool is too deep for them so I was very grateful they had somewhere fun to play about in. There are about 4 slides of different sizes the kids can go on. There is big bucket on top of the biggest slide that tips out water once in a while which is great fun for the kids. I think the depth of the pool is about 1 foot max and it starts of shallow so babies can paddle around. Near the splash park there is a playground which is OK for little toddlers as long as they are watched. One dad left his 2 young kids to play on their own and went off to the bar. Even though it's a resort catered for children you can never be too safe. I was a bit shocked that he just went off and told them to come back when they were ready. They were even younger than my kids.

I will be doing an indepth review once I get the chance, there is more to say about the resort.

Just to let you know regarding my previous post about mozzies in HVV.....we didn't encounter any. I bought insect repellant just in case but was very happy not to end up using any. It was just as well because we spent alot of time putting on suntan protection it would have taken ages to put on insect repellant as well especially with 2 young kids.
