Hi Christine

Anytime we have have travelled to the Kanta as a group our rooms have been beside each other but I don't think the hotel has adjoining rooms though. You could always try emailing the hotel yourself to check if it's possible, I'm sure they will be more than willing to help if they can.

Sorry can't help you. I know they do have a laundry service but we have never used it. We just take some travel wash and do it ourselves.

Not long to go now only 4 weeks and 3days and already I am planning to return in September/October but to the Abou Sofiane beacuse they have more entertainment at that time of year than the Kanta, it's gonna be hard telling the guys at the Kanta we won't be staying with them though.

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the Kanta Hotel has ironing boards/irons for hire etc (not for me for the wife)

I'm not 100% sure if they hire them out or not but I think they offer an ironing service with thelaundry.......I know they did have a notice somewhere saying no ironing in the room, I assume this is so you will have to pay them to do it for you, mind you it's never stopped us using our travel iron.

Mabye someone will be able to tell you more about it but hope i've helped a little and not confused you more

No probs. I fly out to the kanta the same day as you but from Dublin instead of Belfast, Worked out cheaper to travel down there than going from belfast.

Hope you enjoy the Kanta, we have always enjoyed our hols there!

can anyone tell me if it is alright to take my iron to the kanta hotel as im sure i read that you are not aloud irons in the room and i must have my iron help.Also what is the aircon like in the rooms as the weather is lookin very hot all info much appreciated .Getting really excited as this is our first time to tunisia i just hope the hubby doesnt get his prickly heat bad weve just started his antahistamines and i hear piz buin sun allergy cream works so oill have to be prepared happy holidays off to the kanta and have a great time looking forward to all your reports many thanks christine

Christine, as far as I know they have a notice somewhere in the rooms saying no ironing but don't worry as we always take our travel iron and use it, There's really no way they can know if you have been using one or not!
As for the air conditioning in the room it's great and works really well, just remember it will only work when the door to your balcony is closed over.

Haddy sorry but I can't remember excatly what the resturaunt times are but it's something like brekkie from 6.30am - 10am and then dinner from 6.30pm - 9pm. Just make sure you get in before me or there might be nothing left for you! I've been on a diet for the last 4 months and intend to make the most of eating everything I want on holiday

hi is anyone back from there holiday especially those who stayed at the kanta.we will be going in 4 weeks and cant wait this is our first time to tunisia and am so looking forward to it .any comments on the kanta would be greatly appreciated.i picked my tickets up today and i asked the travel agent to ring the hotel to see if they could do there upmost best to get our rooms next door they were really helpful and will do there best to help so looking good anyway have a wonderful holiday to all those who are travelling soon and most of all enjoy thanks christine

Hi Christine just got back from the Kanta Hotel last night/morning had a brill time.There was 5 of us in 2 rooms we didn't request rooms together but got them lol had the mother n law with us so i can't see it being a problem, the staff at the hotel can't do enough for you.We are planning on going back next year for 2 weeks.If you want any more info ask away.Haddy

Hi Haddy so pleased u had a good time im getting so excited especially it being our first time in tunisia.What was the weather like good i hope.I know they dont like you taking your own drinks into the hotel but we was thinking of buying duty free on the plane and takin 2 bottles of spirits to our room we will put in our pack pk.Are there lots of sunbeds or do we have to get up early to save them hope u dont mind all the questions all info on the kanta would be great even to how clean it is thanks christine

I bought duty free at the airport before going,if you drink spirits they can be expensive especially if your looking branded names,you can buy locally produced spirits for around 16,500 dinars which works out about £7.You are right in saying you can't take your own drinks into the hotel the security staff will take them of you and return it on your departure date it happen to me with a 2lt coke :oops:. Sunbeds never had a problem getting one but come eleven/twelve you might have to wait on one.On our first day a pool attendant (i think) approached us asking how long we where staying saying he would keep us beds all week so he stuck to his word for a few dinars for the week.Hotel is spotless thats all you see is staff cleaning,a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss but its not stopping me going back next year... .Anymore questions ask away would only be to happy to help.Haddy.

Am just back as well, thought the hotel was fine, spotless. You had asked about building work going on but that was the refurbishing of the Puca Pub (irish bar) and that is now finished.

The laundry service was very good but wasnt impressed by some of the waiters at the snack bar, quite surly and clearly not a bit interested.

I will post my resort/hotel report some time this week.

Haddy, your mother in law would keep a nation going, she was so much fun! had me in stitches and your little girls looked as if they were having a great time.
