Ideas/hints/tips/interesting insights about Sissi

After receiving some very helpful information from members of this forum I have successfully booked a two week holiday to Sissi in June.

Was just wondering if anyone has any hints/tips/ideas on what to see and do on the lovely island of Crete.

Got to say I'd be quite content to spend a good few days on the beach soaking up the sun, but know that the boyfriend will get restless!! Also as he's 30 when we're out there I'd maybe like to do something a bit special.

Any information gratefully received

I'm going to Crete again,at long last, next Friday and on previous holidays we have visited Knossos,Spinalonga and found Elounda to be a beautiful place. Will let you know if we found anywhere particularly special that you should also try,although can't comment much about Sissi,I'm afraid,as I've never been.You're right,it is a lovely Island and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

havent been for a couple of years but we use to like a walk doen to the harbour area and sit in one of the tavernas that jet out over the water,have a few mythos and watch the fish if it was calm enough

Hi Ceri, we have also booked for Sissi in june. Unfortunately as I was unable to remember my sign on for this site I have had to re-register and at the moment I am unable to post links, but if you look on you tube under sissi there are a couple of videos of sissi harbour.
