Vegasone, wish I never wrote mine down, I have checked everyday , first message was last saturday saying under process , then yesterday saying application processed ,now fingers crossed should be here tomorrow, you are only one day behind me so yours should be soon

I done the same del but this year I printed off 2 copys of everything , I thought you wont catch me out this time , even stood over OH made sure her signature was exactly like passport. 
Then after I posted them off realised I never put place of signing next to the date
but I thought they surely wont be that petty OR WILL THEY?
and I just know i am going to miss the postman tomorrow.
Also we are going twice and i am thinking, I bet we get a 3 month visa
after last years fiasco I am definitely A glass half empty type of person

I never wrote my passport number down so I cant even check on VFS
[quotDidn't write mine down either but luckily found photcopies of last years visa in holiday file which included ID page of passport.
Why dont you store it in your mobile under assumed name
Ok, without trawling through the countless posts since July this year about this seasons visa applications, whats changed since last season ? I have read about the photo size change (how much dumber are they showing themselves to be ?).

We didn't put place of signature either... according to the VFS website our passports were handed to Royal Mail yesterday so I hope that means the visas will be in them! Although with the amount of snow we have this morning, not sure Royal Mail will be delivering them today

Wooohooo... passports sent off 15th November and have just been delivered back to us today with 3 month Visas. So relieved!

there is also a declaration form you have to print off and sign
You now have to state your religion and what your educational level is!!

Just received passports back mine and o/h o/k but they have spelt my brother inlaws name wrong on the visa thet have put on Michal instead of Michael, Does anyone know if it will have to go back and be re-processed and at what cost.

Only a guess, as long as tickets and passports are identical you satisfy the requirements over here and the flight, I doubt that anyone in India will be checking that thoroughly,
I would guess that the checks are more on the dates of the visa rather than spelling of names

oh Preacher , What a nuisance ! I would just act like I hadn't noticed about the name at all after all vsf stuck it in the passport but I can understand that you may be anxous about it . Best of luck with it

Please can someone help with the following questions:
1/ On the front of the new form there is a box underneath where the photo has to be stuck that says' Specimin Signature', do I need to sign in this box?
2/ Do I need to sign the back of the photo that has to be stapled on the back of the form?
3/ Previous/other name if any - do I need to put my maiden name in here?
I'm taking them to Stockport tomorrow so hope the M62 is clear and quiet!
