wed--22nd Thank you all so much for the encouragement I know im slow at writing this I keep expecting fiona to say get on with it woman haha

Wedensday morning I begged my husband to get up at 6.30am I had read on this forum that you could see dolphins around the river princess about 7 o clock we went to the beach and waited and waited to 830 ... but NO dolphins it must be their day off haha I was shocked at how many people were about before 7.30am ...........after breakfast we went to anjuna market we got lots of nice things bed clothes ...spices.....handbags ....and so on
My daughter had asked me to get her some tibetian silver things I was sitting at the stall on the little seat as you do and all of a sudden ..we could here women squealing children shouting and all this noise
it was a big fight I was told later that some hippy type people were fighting among themselves it was sad to see mothers and children so distressed..a lot of stalls had a lot of their good destroyed that day .......I need a drink or three so we went to the beach bar and had just that ..we then went a walk on the beach but the gispy children just wouldnt leave us alone ....I love kids but I had to say the off word they just wouldnt go away shame on me ...

Later that day we went to calangute I had come to the conclusion that candolim beach is just to quiet there is so much more to see and do at calangute ....we went to a shack called thomas,s it was lovley there the young lad who works there is called jay ....he had my sister in law writing out the words of O carol the song for him ..

This is not a joke its the gods truth... that day on the beach a begger man came up the beach and he had only one leg ....my brother said look he has just found a shoe washed up from the sea ....and guess what it was for the right foot ...........the tears are running down my face im laughing .....sorry
That night we went to the meet up in lazy days gemma33 was meeting us later ..but only CMJ and her husband were there we had a chat for a while and then they left .....gemma and her husband came along and we had a good laugh we stayed till one in the morning and we all took a taxi back to the hotel .....forgot to say we ate in lazy days the food was beauiful and the staff were a bunch of lovely young men ......we have been in goa nearly a week now and we have been to a different shack and a different restaurant every day and I have to say I cant say a bad word about antyof them :lol:tomorrow I will tell you my chemist story what a laugh it can only happen to me

THR 23rd nov
Had poor hubby up before 7.. dolphin spotting again still no dolphins but im not giving up .....after berakfast we went to the chemist in calungute ..we have used this chemist for a few years now ....its down behind the shop that sells the hats nere the steps at the beach and where all the taxis wait ..
WE call the two men who work in the shop dumb ..and dumber dumb speaks good english and dumber is the chemist ..you tell dumb what you want he tells dumber who gets it for you and sets it on the counter .
we bougth ......2 tubes of odomos..2 tubes of cold sore cream...some little orange tablets for deli belly ..100 brufen tablets...300 stomach tablets 3 different types..next years malaria tablets and a few boxs of tablets for wimmins problems I asked him what I owed him 1,300 rupees he said I paid him and we left.....

WE went to the the swally beach shack that day its a bit of a walk from the steps to the shack when we got there it was chill out people watching time so we just sat and relaxed ......my sister in law came at sat at the end of my sun bed she said I dont think the chemist was right with you bill he has charged you way too much ....her and I counted it up and it only came to 600 rupees ..dumb and dumber charged me 1,300 rupees

I went for the help of my friend Raj at the tipsy beach shack and he went back to the chemist with me and told the man I was over charged ..the man in the chemist added all my goods up and ...YES they did only come to 600 rupees ..with a shaking of heads he said sorry mama i am making a mastake ..he gave me back the over charge and gave me 100 more stomach tablets free and said he was soooo sorry .....now you know why we call them dumb and dumber.... lunch at the shack was one of the best we had had drinks were the same price as most places but his cocktails we 400 rupees thats a bit much I thought so at sunset it was shandys all round .....That night we went to the stone house they had a band on they were very good we sat upstairs at the back near some trees but there was a very bad smell It was fish and rubbish it must have been near the bins we then moved and sat at the road side and we had a lovley night in the stone house in the end

FRI the 24th ..............went to mapsa in a taxi 600 rupees return I have never been before it was such an experience I will deffo go back to mapsa
we also went to candolim beach that day too dont know the name of the beach shack but it was a womens name I think I had brought some football shirts for some young boys (10)yrs old one was called deleap (sp) john was one of the other two not sure of the young ones name
I have lovely photographs of the kids in their tops I will post them on a bit later sometime
That night we were meeting gemma and her husband we were all going to the taj fort hotel ....what a crappy night there was a bollywood thing going on in the hotel and all the day trippers people had to have the gala night in the hotel restaurant ....I was very disappointed I have been before and always had a great night there... that night must have been just bad luck .....the food was rotten all I had to eat was 3 bowls of soup ...the cakes and gateaux were to die for I have a photo of them I will post that also
a belly dancer came round from time to time shaking her a** but that was it no more enterainment ..in all the night was c*** the one and only bad night we had in goa ..ah well you cant have it all

Remember the white chocolate fountain Colleen its was great mmm I can still taste the chocolate just now.

Brill report.....what is in Mapsa??

Goansoon Mapsa has a market day on a friday its a bit mad but you will love it ..I got nike schoolbags for 200 rps there are shops that sell gold ...fabric shops there is a shop that sells only saries and they only cost 3 or 4 hundred rupees I bought a bed type cover thing and when we go to the beach we pulled the beds together and put it under our towels ....if you are going make some bread rolles for the beggers on the street there are a lot of beggers about ...colleen

The very same chemist tried that with me until I pointed out the correct price which is on each item. Then he was full of apologies. I think he must think we are the dumb ones!
