Just read on a different site that they have decided to refurbish the sister hotel first? wonder when they are going to get around to this one then?
We are thinking of going to the Lanzarote Bay apts for a week in June. Most of the reviews I have read seem quite good, however the only thing that really puts me off is that it seems like the evening entertainment is inside down some stairs and you have to get there really early to get a seat. Also there is no lifts etc. (we have a pushchair!) Did anyone else find this a problem, or am I just being over fussy! Apart from this the complex seems to get quite good reviews and this is the only thing I find off putting. If anyone could offer any more info. it would be most appreciated.
Any more questions - please feel free to ask
2 adults & 2 15yr old girls, hopefully it will be ok . Have seen conflicting reviews on various sites and I wonder if any body who has been there recently could let me know if it's ok.
All we are looking fo really is sun and somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep, oh and also not jam packed bars with queues a mile long!
thanks
Ann
Excellent, thank you
Costa Teguise is a nice resort, not too rowdy, with lots of lovely bars and restaurants, but when you've paid for all-inclusive you don't want to spend money going out every night if the hotel doesn't have much to offer. There are only a small handful of restarants near the Lanzarote Bay.
We went in August, and according to the Airtours brochure there's supposed to be a 'teenager's club' running during high season, but there wasn't... just the entertainment reps doing an occasional game of football in the blistering afternoon heat. My kids (aged 12 and 15 last year) spent a lot of the time either 'hanging around' or using all their spends on the pool table and internet, although they did make a lot of friends (who they still keep in touch with) and were upset to go home. Really you just have to hope that there will be plenty of other teenagers there, otherwise your girls will get quite fed-up.

The Lanzarote Bay is clean and comfortable, and it's pretty quiet at night after about 12.30-ish, so you'll get a good night's sleep. As far as queues at the bar, well we were there in high season and we never had to wait very long for a drink - the staff are very proud to show off their clean, efficient hotel and quite often the manager himself would 'lend a hand' at very busy times
Please feel free to ask me any more questions
I was just wondering does anyone know any sites where I can get pictures of lanzarote bay from?Except the site tripadvisor.com

Do we have to dress up in the restaurants, ie the lanzarote bay apartment restaurant?
When we went to Lanzarote Bay Apts we did not 'dress up' for dinner - hubbie wore jeans and polo shirt or jeans and T-shirt and I wore whatever I felt like! (dress or jeans or skirt and top). Certianly nobocy was 'scruffy' but there were men in shorts and t-shirts at dinner, and women in same.
We really enjoyed our holiday there and after the problems we have had this year (elsewhere) are contemplating going back there again next year.
Hotel is GREAT!!! although weather is not so good.
Having a great time all the same.
Food is fab!
Hi annie j, we are going to lanzarote bay in 7 weeks, what block are you staying in, can you recommend any particular one, and what floor is best, are there 3 floors in each block, was a bit worried about being on the ground floor because of cockroaches, have heard they are beasts in lanzarote. Pleased you enjoying yourselves. My kids are 8 and 10, hoping entertainment is suitable for them.
Hi we are in block AB on floor 3 of 3. Not seen a single cockroach. Hotel is great your kids will love it, perfect age for here hope your weather is better than ours I am freezing at the mo and I'm wrapped up in a wooly!!!
Ask for middle or top floor, some people on the ground floor had problems with cockroaches, I saw a lot of rolled-up towels at the bottom of doors on the ground floor We were on the middle floor on Block A: CLICK HERE and HERE to see the view from our balcony
Hope the weather picks up for you annie.
Blocks C, D & E don't have a pool view from their balconies, some have a view of the road outside and I think some have a view of the sports area, but it's further to walk to the hotel bars, restaurant and reception.
I wasn't sure of the layout when I booked, so I just requested pool view on middle floor, which was exactly what I got, with a fantastic view of the whole complex
I might still have a map somewhere which shows the layout of the apartment blocks on the complex, if I find it I'll scan it in and post it on here for you.
annie j - sorry to hear about your bad weather - we have just returned from a week in Gran Canaria; it didn't rain but I heard it had rained the previous week, and it was quite cloudy on and off while we were there, and quite chilly in the evenings. Luckily it was lovely here in Manchester when we got home yesterday so at least I got all my washing dried
i was just wondering can you go topless in lanzarote bay with it being a family hotel.Hopefully you will be able to go topless like i have been in the other hotels. Posts welcome thanky you......
p.s.callyxxx
There were one or two topless ladies when we were there in August, but with it being a family place I suppose most people preferred to keep covered up, if only to spare their own kid's blushes...
