Yes Luci, planning will commence shortly. Already printed a ACG coupon list and that looks like good enough to buy one. Brad Garrett 2/1 is new this year, and a few others. It does seem to change quite a bit. I liked the Orleans and Gold Coast 2/1 buffet coupons but they've not been in there for a couple of years now. Shame.
We will probably book a car, but not thought about dates yet. I do sort of loathe to have a car at Platinum because it's valet only. I prefer self park, but might have no option. I'm not sure it would be a good idea to park in Ellis Island lol. There's a car park right opposite, not sure if it's for Bally's.
Not thought abuot shows, but we'll probably do the Brad Garrett Comedy Clulb again, mabye Ka, the Tuesday quiz at McMullan's (opposite Orleans, could use Gold Coast shuttle from newr Rio. Maybe there will be something nwe, or a wee afternoon show. I also might like to go back to Fontana Bar, and also Il Fornaio (NYNY), hope Maggiano's have their happy hour too, liked that!!
Rio buffet is looking like a definite too (hope they do the 2 for $6 margaritas again), maybe Bellagio buffet too (liked that last year).
I also need to check out what cheap food options are available for snacks etc at the Rio and Gold Coast. I like the Orleans food court, not sure if Gold Coast has one. I go to Subway and Kevin goes to Fuddruckers for a veggie burger. I think he likes how they give you the little alarm to sit with that goes off when your food is ready.
Yes, sounds like I have some ideas at least...
Luci, when are you away? Are you doing one trip or two this year?
If you haven't tried the Aria buffet, I can recommend it as we thought it was excellent. The Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan is getting rave review, especially for lunch.
Lesley, here's some photos of the food at the Wicked Spoon
When I looked at first it didn't look too good (raw looking meat, not really something I'd be after as a veggie) but it went uphill pretty quickly and the desserts look fab! those little cones and separate dishes of ice cream...mmm. and was that a little square brownie on the corner.
Ok, might try it then!
available discounts for meals/shows ect. Would be grateful for any help as to where
to start looking
thanks

What type of shows are you thinking of seeing and where are you staying?
http://www.destinationcoupons.com normally have a $5 off coupon for the Spice Market buffet, but last time I checked it only went up till March.
Have a search for previous topics on Vegas then posted back here on anything that you want to check is still current.

Well, just booked two weeks in a Penthouse suite with balcony and strip view at the Signature through BlueChipVegas. Should get confirmation tomorrow. Got it for a good price, first time I've used them so I'm a little nervous but hope everything is ok! We went for the Penthouse as with my job situation (will be made redundant at the end of this year now), not sure of what will happen next year so want to make sure this one is extra special! All set now, flights and hotel booked, just wait for some show deals and hope there is a decent concert on somewhere out there when we are there!
That's good that you got a good deal, and also that you are doing it a bit differently with the better suite etc. You'll spoil yourself though and won't want a normal room though next time
Vegas here we all come eh! Let's hope the exchange rate is good, it's been sitting up over $1.60 quite nicely, hope it stays up there or even higher.
couldn't resist the Sig' Lesley hope the exchange rate does improve a bit, looked online today and ICE have the rate at 1.58 currently and they are usually right up with the best. Could do with it getting to 1.65 or 1.70!!
1.70......I remember getting $2.125 at one point. Bring that back eh! Even Voodoo Lounge would seem reasonable
I'm not sure what the currency predictions are, but I don't think the US is recovering as quick as they hoped...but then probably we aren't either! Ok, I'll settle for 1.70 I guess.........
ICE are the Internet Currency Exchange. I've used them several times. Rates are normally right up with the best and they do next day delivery, I've never had any issues with them. I think it's a minimum £500 order to qualify for free delivery. I always tend to use either ICE or FairFX for dollars
I remember the $2 exchange rate too, how fantastic was that! Everything seemed such a bargain! If only it could go back to that.
Cheers
TC
Thanks for responses about Rio, forgot i posted on here
Las Vegas (Summerlin)

3.5* Suncoast Hotel
3* Courtyard by Marriott Summerlin REVIEW
2* La Quinta Summerlin Tech
Cheers Lesley, now we've got the Sig booked for the two weeks we won't be staying off strip but I'll remember to check them out for next time!
I did try a cheeky pricline bid for £50 5* north (target - Wynn). Someone got it for about $76 on one of the forums so I just had to try. Obviously not successful though! We should really keep our option open just now, our friends may be going around the same time as us, so we don't want to have everything too firm in case we want to stay in the same place.
Sad news that they are closing the 'Sahara' casino in Vegas. As much as it's a bit of a dump, it's another piece of Vegas history going. Not sure if it will just be left to rot or not, no-one really has any money to implode it and rebuild at the moment. The way things are going, only the Flamingo will exist for any length of time out of the 'older' properties.
That's a shame! We haven't been there the last few trips, but we did use to stop for breakfast when we went to the outlets using a combination of monorail/taxi. I'm thinking then it must have been a while since we were up there.
Any idea when TeeCee?
