KitKatKate, thanks, keep me informed. Yes 25kgs does seem alot for economy, but it has been their error. We booked for 3 weeks because we had got the 25kgs. Again thanks.

yes this happened to our party when we went with first choice last time,rang them they addmitted they had made a mistake and told us new tickets would be waiting for us at the airport,so we thought ok great,we got to the airport in manchester and were first in the que at departures as we got there with plenty of time so we could get the new tickets i then went to the ticket office and were given our tickets to find they were exactly the same as first ones including wrong weight the very unhelpful girl said nothing i can do about it,i said ring your head office and they will confirm the mistake she did and they did ,but again she said nothing i can do,at this i phoned first choice who rang her but was addament nothing could be done a supervisor then said go and have your bags weighd and bring them back here still no check in we did then went back to be told you are underweight any way i replied yes but as a group we may not be coming back,eventually we were told to check in as we were underwieght and a letter would be sent to our rep in goa to give us confirming our correct weight for coming back,i asked why in this computer age it could not be merely altered manually one girl said could another jobsworth no by now everyone else had checked in and we were left with single seats scattered round the plane at no time were first choice at the airport in any way helpfull or caring,on arrival in goa we spoke to the rep who said i will follow it up then i spoke to him on several more occaisions the letter was given to us three days before we were due to leave, now bear in mind these tickets had been purchased months before our flight,so all this you would have thought would be a simple matter,i have travelled with first choice numerous times before but i will not again and this year have booked with another company

Exactly the reason why I insisted that they supplied me with a letter now, I told them I knew only too well what it would be like at Goa if I did not have written confirmation from them. I do have the letter in my possession now, but would advise anyone else who is unhappy to follow it through with FC well in advance of travel.

After reading this I checked my First Choice confirmation invoice, it states 25kgs, Phoned fc, asked the lady to explain their invoices, was told, the baggage allowance was 25kgs PLUS hand luggage, explained mine said 25kgs, was told to contact travel agent, to ask them to sort it, Well, was amazed when travel agent came back to me with in about half an hour, First Choice has agreed to 25kgs PLUS 5kgs hand luggage EACH WAY, sending me confirmation letter, if not arrived by Thursday as we fly then, take my original confirmation invoice. Just hope letter arrives, after 11 years of using airport know what they are like at Dabolim, any thing to make more rupees

One slight problem at moment, Travel agents have not received tickets so awaiting duplicate ones at the moment, supposed to arrive today at Travel Agent.

Well I still haven't received my tickets or the letter they said I'd receive confirming baggage allowance.

Did receive a letter from them yesterday though saying our flight times have changed, only by 25mins though so nothing too drastic!

I'll have to call them again tonight to chase up...

My tickets have arrived, well they actually arrived on Wednesday but someone in my house had shoved a load of post on a shelf where noone looks - grrr! So i'd been first choice for nothing! They do state 20kg on them so just waiting for the letter confirming 25kg now

I am on FC/Thomsonfly flight and I have 30kg + 5kg hand luggage I am in Premier but only expected 23kg.

I am due to fly on 27th Nov (2 days hurray!) and always thought I had a 20kgs allowance which I am more than happy with - that's what it states on the tickets and also on the original booking I made online back in January this year.

This morning I have received a letter from First Choice to say that a mistake has been made on the tickets and the checked baggage allowance should be 25kgs because we booked from the first edition of their brochure. It instructs me to take the letter to the check-in desk and I'll be provided with the correct increased allowance!

I didn't realise the apparent mistake but for those of you having problems it looks as though they've got around to sorting it out.

I received a letter about the extra allowance this morning. I dint even realise there was a problem as I had no weight allowance information on my original documentation so, Bonus!!

Still no tickets, still no letter regarding luggage, just off to travel agents again now

got tickets on 9th nov and it stated that we were only allowed 20kg

got a letter from them this morning saying that they will honour 25kg luggage weight

we fly out on thurs morn 27th from manchester

Got letter today from First Choice regarding 25kgs baggage allowance, said as we booked early from their first edition brochure we will get this increased allowance, have to produce the letter at check-in.

Looks like they made a mistake in the brochure and also on-line where we booked and have been forced to honour their mistake.

Wey hey !!! ........ we fly out on Saturday and have just received a letter today from FC stating that the allowance was 25kg (not the 20kg stated on our tickets) , plus 5kg for hand luggage.
Also, our Superior Room at Silver Sands is not double-booked as has happened to some poor souls.
Result !!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the wall ........ err, I mean, bring on Saturday.

We also received letter from FC today regarding luggage allowance I never even phoned them allan.
