Twinkletoes - no I'm not getting your pm's for some reason :(

Have a fabulous holiday though, though I don't doubt you will and I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back. Had my tickets for Aqua Fantasy yesterday so only 23 sleeps for us to go!!!

Happy holidays :cheers

Grogg - You must've been there the same time as us last year. We found that if you didn't go down to the Marina by about 7.15pm there was a sign and staff telling folk it was full. By far the loveliest restaurant in my opinion and I loved watching the sun set before my very eyes.

Went twice last year, last week of june coming home on 2nd july and again in first week of sept cos i was fed up at work so got a good deal by playing thomas cook up against cosmos :offtop

I mainly use the adult pool in the residence as its quiet and not that busy but in sept it was full with all oldies, sorry to say i used to put my towels down at night after being to the village bar and they were there the next day !!

going on the 7th july from gatwick

Hello everyone, :offtop :whoops

just thought i'd inform all of you, as you maybe aware i have had my flight changed by 3hrs for the 7th july.

I read somewhere that someone also had the same but was not told - her flight was due to leave 13.30hrs but was changed to 10.30hrs - when she would have been picking up her tickets in the airport as the plane took off !!

I phoned tc operations and found out that my flight has been changed again to 11.45am

PLEASE PLEASE check your flight details with airline company - dont just accecpt what they send you in the post. :offtop :whoops

sorry Briar but this affects most tc passengers

Hi mamajama - were you wondering how much spending money to take? Depends on what the kids get up to (banana boats, jetski, ice lollies etc) and if you like a few drinks of an evening (or of an afternoon!), and how many days out/trips you do.

In our two weeks last year we had a bill of about £400 at LW for 2 adults and two kids (13 and 5). I don't think we skrimped on ice lollies, pringles, cokes etc out of "mealtimes". Me and hubs both enjoy a few drinks :cheers and although lots of people say the bar prices at LW are high I don't think they're that bad, although I probably drank more beer than I normally would, as opposed to my preferred, and more expensive, bacardi and coke. But to be honest we both drank rather more wine with lunch and dinner than we normally would ... because it was included!

On the couple of days we went out and about we probably spent about £150 (maybe a bit more - I'll check with hubs!) including taxis, lunch, sunbeds, stuff in the shops in Olu AND a lovely Oyster Rolex - genuine of course ;) )

And then, of course, on top of that was the paragliding ...

You can definitely do it cheaper if you have to though - duty free at the airport, making the most of the drinks included with lunch and dinner etc.

In the past we've spent more, all in, on a self catering holiday in Majorca.

Thanks Anice .

Was thinkin about £300/400 . Its a pity i cant take advantage of the wine at mealtimes as i dont like the stuff! :yuck Hubs only drinks water with his meals..but soon makes up for it afterwards :cheers .
Its as well one of us has to stay sober.

Cant wait to go now 3weeks & counting.

flossy,

thats great, i always book a year in advance - came back last year on the 2nd july and booked this years holiday on the 7th july 2007 for 7th july 2008 - funny exectly a year ahead :rofl

and now on checking prices over the last few months - no-one can beat what i paid !! and that was with Thomas Cook, always fly with them, out of gatwick as its well was daytime flights - but the have changed them by 4 hrs to 11.45am instead of 7.55am - but will get there for the evening around 8pm - only less than 5 weeks to go !! :tup :cheers

as you and hubby are going treat yourselves to the health place in within the residence - you both will love it.
