with christmas out of the way now i am thinking about next years holiberrys already. i am going to alcudia with my boyfriend on the 07/07/07 i cant wait i have been twice before with the parents but not on my own and i love it! i have been reading this forum with interest and think i might maybe try cala millor, cala bona or santa ponsa as these sound great. i went to bulgaria last year and although i had a good time majorca always seems better i have also been to menorca(zzzzzzzz!) and portugal but hey nothing ever compares to majorca and i dont know what it is. i will no doubt be joining in the holiday discussion in the next coming months.

dare i say it 6 months to go (but to many sleeps to count just yet he he!)

happy new year to everyone roll on 2007 and the summer

love mel :D

Hi Lou,
We go 19 May for a week! I have booked direct with the hotel as my pa-in -law is poorly and if we neeed to cancel we won't lose as much. Our insurance will not cover his pre-existing condition. Very excited all the same!!!!!CBG

Cala Ratjada is really a cool place in Mallorca, i lived there 8 years and for me it is the coolest place!

Cheers,

Hi Tjeerd

I agree Cala Ratjada is lovely. Very peaceful during the day (except for the market) but very lively and cosmopolitan at night (the bars and discos maybe more geared to the young - my daughter loved it). Its more suited to the independent traveller though, if only because it doesn't seem to feature much in package holiday brochures.

I love to go to Cala Ratjada for the day,sit and watch the world go by. The harbour and beach area is lovely.CBG

I agree with all that has been said about Cala Ratjada it has a lovely harbour and as CBG say's ideal for people watching, but although it doe's not worry me in the slightest it is very German orientated, We love Port De Soller which also had a great Gernan influence but in the time that we have been going it is so noticeable that more English are staying there, it is a good thing that all nationality's are mixing and enjoying the beautiful island of Mallorca, just three weeks tomorrow and we will be back at the Eden in Port de Soller for the fifth time and walking the Tramuntana. I just can't wait.
