IRIS registration is next to gate 20 in Terminal 1. I think it's opening hours are 06:00 to 14:00
I use IRIS all the time, I have even collected my car and been on the motorway before a collegue on the same flight got through passport control.

Yeah right... that's what it said on the one in T2 but we were there 12-1pm-ish and nobody was in. Ah well, we'll see what happens at Easter in T1.dksbbs wrote:IRIS registration is next to gate 20 in Terminal 1. I think it's opening hours are 06:00 to 14:00
Hello, never use meet+greet airport parking service before. Just like to know if anyone have used this service. Found good price with Meteor. Departing from T3 Manchester. Any info about service appreciated.
I've never used it personally, but my brother has and he's always said it's ok. Personally, I'd rather park the car myself and know it's safe than have others do it for me.
Darren
Thanks Dazbo5. Usually use Qpark/now takenover by airparks but can't find any website that is giving me a price for the Thorney Road site. Than found Meteor meet&greet they is doing a 20% discount at present so the cost is only alittle morethan the Manchester shuttle -onsite parking. Still can't decide because never used meet&greet before.
jayl,
I used Meteor meet & greet on my last holiday and would NOT recomend them! We got to the airport and there wasn't anyone waiting for us as there was meant to be and so we got moved on by the police. We waited so long we ended up putting the car in MAN longstay. We then got a phonecall from Meteor after we had checked in asking where we were! The cheek of it! They eventually agreed to get the car from Longstay themselves and take it to their compound. We got back and arrived in MAN from a wonderfull fortnight in Lanzarote and got through Pasport Control and Bagage Reclaim. When you get to this point you are meant to phone them. We did so and were then stood outside T2 for 30 minutes waiting for them. When they eventually got to us the guy was really rude about the fact we had ended up leaving the car in Longstay instead of waiting, what would have been, 45 minutes for them. They also said we had to pay the fee for geting the car out of Longstay! Which we refused to pay;) If you do decide to use them though please do let us know about your experience.

Thanks for the info. I probably prebook the manchester shuttle @ £34 despite Meteor @ £35.60. I don't want to have the worry of them not turing up at departure. Just to let others know Meteor is currently offering 20% off but must be booked by 17th Feb. Found it on their own website and on Boomrang.
Does anybody know of a carpark at Manchester airport or close by that is reasonably priced where you can park your own car and keep your keys!
We will be arriving early hours of the morning so a reliable shuttle bus would be great!
every carpark i find you need to leave your keys which i am not to happy with.
Thanks in advance
Tracy
Tracy11,
ive always used the Shuttle Park at manchester, and i would not leave my car keys at no car park, as this is a very gray area with the car parks own insurance and your own policy
We have now booked with Long stay super saver at T2 and happy with the price for onsite parking.
Thanks again
Does anyone know which airlines fly direct from Manchester to New York? I'm wanting to go in December.
Presently, you only have one main option; Delta Airlines (DL155/4). PIA also operate MAN-JFK (PK711/2), but availability for December is already slim on the UK bound flight looking at the available flights on their website. BA, or should we now call them London Airways, pulled the plug on their only international flight to operate from a non-London Airport last October which was MAN-JFK-MAN. Other options include American Airlines via Chicago or Continental to Newerk, New Jersey.
Darren
Thanks Darren. It looks as though I might have to make the trek south then!
Manchester Airport have started charging for plastic bags at security, you need to buy a pack of four costing £1 but you are only allowed to use one.
It amazes me how slow the press are at times! This was introduced on 19th February 2009. I believe it's actually 2 bags for £1 rather than 4. Much easier to pack your gels / liquids or bring your own clear bag, they're only a few pence each!
I don't see a problem. The rules have been around for nearly three years, they've had hours of TV coverage and pages in the papers, the airlines mention them on their sites as do many Tour Ops. Yet loads of people still turn up at security with stuff that doesn't comply and clog the place up. So what MAN are doing is fining people for causing delays to others in the queue behind them - sounds good to me!
Flight is Thomson going at 0600 to PMI on 28th June.
Oh, and are there any eating places open in the terminal before we fly, haven't booked a meal on the plane and will be starving - we leave home at midnight for the car park.
Thanks.
