I'm pretty certain there won't be - smoking is not allowed in public buildings anymore - thankfully.
You will probably have to go outside - and then usually a certain distance from entrances.

There is a smoking area airside in T1. After security go through the shops towards the viewing window. Go upstairs towards the eating area and it is signposted.
There is now smoking areas airside at Manchester airport in Terminal 1 and 2.

May 2011 that takes booking in advance to a new level, but thats how you get the best prices 
Please can anyone tell me which check in desk is used by Cyprus Airways. I know it is T1 but would like to know if it is on the ground floor or not. Many thanks.
I'm not 100% sure but I think it is. The lower level is all Jet2 I think.

We fly with Thomas Cook from terminal 1 in manchester, can I buy my cigarettes here? I know you can get them in terminal 2 but not sure about 1.

The duty free shop in T1 (Biza) is larger than the one in T2. You can get all the usual duty free items. You can also purchase them onboard the aircraft and at the duty free shops in Turkey upon arrival.

Does anyone know what eateries are open in T2 at about 06.00/07.00. Also may seem like a dumb question but I was wondering what the prices are like? The only reason I ask is I am deciding whether to book to go into a lounge as there is only 2 of us and the price seems reasonable.
I too am thinking about the Lounge as 3 hours can be a long wait and I am travelling solo.
