Hi Carol we got back on Tuesday as well (flew with first choice). Yes its a lot of sleeps to November Lets hope it passes quickly.
We were on the same flights, and think we was in bono's shack when you said you was there as we was there most day's, I walk to the toilet's with someone who was asking me about the clean toilet's everyone has been talking about, could that have been you? she was very impressed with them, as i said i could have stayed in that shack all of the holiday.
Hi Carol we only went to Bono's shack twice, but yes it was nice and the food fantastic with gorgeous toilets. My friend was talking to a lady on the way to the toilet so it might have been her? Small world eh
It is, I think it was last thursday, We went to the floating casino in the evening,
hi Carol- another Goa convert
Hi Fiona, we both love the place, took a while for my husband to get used to it, but he can't wait to go back, he comes back so chilled and relaxed, we have also made friends with some of the lads who work in the shineing star shack in baga, Going back to see them was great they was just as pleased to see us as we were them.
Our paths must have crossed several times Carol! We always went to the shack to the right of the shining star, its called the Oceanic, then of course Bono's.
It is a small world, We know that shack, We like going up to baga but find it to busy to go every day, so going up to bono's is a bit more relaxing.
Hi to all HT'ers. I have followed the site for quite some time before deciding to join and have found it very helpful. My name is Jude and I am a residential social worker and my OH is Dave who sells computerised retail equipment. We have 2 grown up kids, one single, one married - they have also fallen for Goa (after 10 years of telling us to shut up about Goa) Its great to meet people who are as addicted as us to their Goan hols See you in Goa
Hi fizzy and candy, i also work supporting people with challenging behaviours, learning disabilities and autism. Very stressful at times but wouldnt change my job for the world. Unless it was the Goa world! Badly needed and loved. Lisa x
Youre all doing a great job! I am very well versed on autism and know the strains it can have on family life and others involved. Keep up the fantastic work.
Hi Candy64 & LIsawithanS - Yep, you guessed right I work with the same client group. A sometimes stressful although rewarding / satisfying job which necessitates a total chill out on the beach with a B & C or several Nice to meet you both
Me too I work with the challenging behaviour of our teenagers in schools and colleges and although stressful at times its still rewarding. My son suffers from a serious Mental Illness and when we go on holiday, especially Goa, it recharges our batteries as it must do for every one I love this forum it is brilliant
Hi pollygolly : good to meet you, maybe its more than a coincidence that the careers we choose reflect the type of people that would choose Goa as a place to visit. Just a thought. Maybe we can have a natter in the chat room one time. Bye for now. Lisa.
Polly, think it's a problem on the chat site, I can't get in either, just blank screen!!
anyone else brave enough to introduce themself?
Andy and Pat Smith here from Grimsby love this site we are GOA LOVERS THROUGH AND THROUGH
Last year we decided we should see more of the world,So we went to Brazil and Kenya,Both these holidays were fabulous, but we have both decided that they were not as good as our GOA holidays.
So we are coming back in November for three weeks and February for two weeks.
We base ourselves at the Donna Sylvia in Cavelossim ,and travel up north to Baga to meet up with our freinds that we met in Goa 7 years ago
nice to meet you all Pat and Andy
