the following chat posts have been moved to the holiday chat/Goa gossip sticky.
2004 and are hooked.joined ht in nov 2006 and can honestly say i log on virtually every day(my sons say i should get out more!) this is definatly the best holiday forum and we now dont book a holiday until we've checked it out on here. i am intrigued by the meet ups -how does everyone recogise other members? we're off to the phoenix park on 24th of feb and my brother and his wife are coming for their first holiday after i have bored them silly with how brilliant it is-hope they agree. one last thing,i so wish i had picked a better name than lardyhead (its actually my oh nickname) like the much more glam irish colleen, blondepuff and yummy mummy.anyone at the phoenix park 24/02?
Absolutely love our hols - visit The Gambia and Turkey every year but 1st time to Goa.
Sue we are going to Phoenix Park on 26th February - may bump into you there.

Hi to everyone my very first posting so here goes. I am married with two children both now left the nest doing their own thing. I am a support worker for social services and my husband has his own business. We love travelling but have not ventured too far off the beaten track. We love to set off in our little camper van and trundle around the beautiful UK not knowing just where we will end up.Have a holiday abroad once a year having done Majorca,Portugal,Greek islands,Cyprus,Malta and Med cruise for silver wedding. This year its Goa! I have heard so much about this place and have had it on my wish list for years. I am soo excited but quite nervous, it seems so much further away and far more adventurous than our usual destinations. I love the look of this forum and can see that it could become very addictive. We are leaving UK on 11th March staying at Marhina Dorada, got a million and one things i want to know. Bye for now. Lisa

sounds like a great adventure
Other places I have visited are Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, St Lucia, Barbados, Dom Republic, most of the Greek Islands that have airports, Kenya, The Gambia,Egypt,Spain & its islands,Italy,Portugal,Sri Lanka and I'm off to Cape Verde in June.as I'm typing this it sounds like a lot of travelling but I tend not to go back to the same place more than once just because there are so many different places I want to see. My dilemma is, finding an afinity with so many places but still wanting to visit new places- there is never enough annual leave!
glad you joined us eventually!
My goodness- that is some list of coutries- you have loads of forums to get round in HT
Do you think you might revisit Goa- or are there just too many other places to see?
Jackie
