Sorry Fiona, I'm shy
my name is bob from middlesbrough love this site. i holidayed with my wife in goa (calangute) 2 years ago and it was the best holiday we have ever had, been to bali, thailand, aus etc but returning to goa in jan but haven't booked anywhere to stay yet
can't wait
Our first time staying at Marinha Dourada and really looking forward to it, up until this year we have always stayed at Sun Village - only due to the fact that we got so friendly with everyone there but having had 3 years of not using the All Inclusive apart from drinks have decided we really must try another - so it's down the road for us this year!
My first trip to Goa I really couldn't make up my mind what I thought - it was scary to begin with, the airport porters, the way sellers accousted you and the complete different way of life took some getting used. But on my return to England I realised that Goa had worked her magic and was totally under my skin and I can't settle until I know that I am booked to return.
I can't believe how a place and it's people can get to you so much, that you think of them everyday.
We have made some good friends over there and I can't wait to get back.
Hi Michele
Its always great to be able to welcome new members. I hope you enjoy our forum!
I just knew I wasn't alone it's just taken me a little while to find you all!
Welcome aboard Miccie!
Me, my wife and another couple are heading to Goa on 3rd November for the first time. Stopping in Candolim. Woo-hoo! We're a bit nervous (read the thread about baggage handlers, persistent beach sellers and rabid dogs) but cannot wait now!
NEVER EVER tell a beach seller that you'll look:
'later', 'tomorrow', 'maybe', 'perhaps'
They'll remember you and pester the life put of you every time they see you.
They are very good at trying to have the last word, saying 'you look tomorrow, OK?'.
I always smile and say 'No' or shake my head as we walk away.
You'll absolutely love it, we're going back next February for the 6th time.
Polly
