Hi, I'm Kate aged 30, married with one son, aged 5. Went to Israel in 1994 for a year and a half on a kibbutz. This is where I met my hubby. We travelled to the Sinai whilst we were there, staying in Dahab before it became commercial. In 1998 we went to India for 6 months, 3 weeks of which were spent in Goa (Chapora). Spent honeymoon in Crete in 2004 (wish it was Goa really!) Going back to Goa in Feb 07, taking our lad. We are staying at the Varca Palms for 3 wks. Very excited about returning as we want to do trips including Hampi (again) so our son can see the 'real' India too.
I look on HT every day, and you all seem a friendly bunch of folks! Thanks and I look forward to chatting with you further!
seems you've packed in so much to your life already! Don't be shy about posting here- you are part of the "friendly bunch" now!
Gee thanks!!

Welcome Goanluv ~~ glad to see you've finally joined us !!
Welcome to HT......the BEST forum on the net.
Lovely to have you onboard, (about time too), you'll be able to share your knowledge with even more Goa Lovers now!!!
Take Care, GFF xxx
Lyn Nag never Nice to see you here x
Well what can I say. 'This is still the definitive site for information about holiday destinations'.
Like that not so well known artist called Prince, I was once known on the Turkish threads as 'Is it cos I'm orange'. The memory fades with age, and I couldn't remember my original log in name and password until this morning, but 'MKGuy' is easier.
This year, because of some expenditure at home and health problems of my wife 'waiting for the all clear to fly from the consultants'. We have had to put of travelling until December, but we're all booked, got our visas' and now we're counting down the 74 days until we fly out to Goa for the first time.
We have been, and will continue to read with interest the threads in this section.
For those going out soon, we wish you all a good time and look forward to your reports.
Regards
MKGuy
I hope your wife is returning to full strength again.

Keep it coming peeps. Its all gudd. How many members are there just out of curiosity ?
I don't know how many members we have who use the Goa forum but HT has over 40 000 members now.
I'm Alan and my partner is Ann I'm 61, wont give Ann's age (under pain of death )
Have traveled a little bit, spent 2 years in the middle east in the sixties.
3 times to Dominican, twice to the USA, Singapore Bangkok Pattaya, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta, Cuba, Italy, Goa. every time I put a full stop I think of another one so that's it for now.
I am a net work engineer and spend most of the week away so have to catch up with HT at the week end hence the some times slow response.
Hobbies are Diving the garden and knocking the house about.
It's been said before but I will say it again HT is a great site for all Goan info
Alan & Ann
I work in the city centre for a Travel Company selling flights and tours all over the world.
I have travelled to many places myself, Greece, Spain, USA, Caribbean, Far East, Middle East just to name a few.
Worked oversea's for 10yrs as a holiday rep/resort manager and that's how I ended up in Goa. Worked there for 6months in winter 2001 and had an absolute hoot. I was based in Candolim and worked in many of the hotels there.
I can honestly say that it was the best place i ever worked. Went back for a holiday in 2003 with a few of the reps i worked with there.
Going on 25/11 for 2 weeks with a friend that has never been there, she is very excited with all the stuff i have told her about Goa.
Thanks for all the info on restaurants, even though i worked there you can't get to eat in them all so really looking forward to trying new one's that have been recommended.
7 weeks & counting!
Christian
