Not sure what dates it covered all she told me was there was i think 4 apartments on top floor around £700 for 14nights and i think she said that was B&B.
Sorry i cannot be of anymore help it's just that while she was showing me i had to leg it to my room for the toilet, must have been the chicken KEBAP!!!!!!!

It was the manager i spoke to. She showed alot of the guests round them as word got out.

thanks nicky & Lesley will ring the hotel myself see if i can get it sorted then maybe wont need to take a travel cot
thinking of taking sterling with me i no people say take clean untorn unmarked notes but is their definition of clean the same as ours
i mean do they expect new notes some members of my party are in a dilemma & are worried in case their sterling isnt accepted
hope this doesnt sound like a stupid question

The notes dont have to be new but its the writing that banks put on that causes problems, just make sure they are not torn or written on and you should be O.K.

my notes where not all crisp and new i just did not take any that was ripped or had writing on, some of my notes look old and they took them.

Jan I did exactly the same thing. Then I went home and ironed them to make them look better :rofl

I didn't have any problem exchanging them, but it was a real worry before I went.

Around Mena Palace

Hello

I'm going to Bulgaria end of August and will be staying at the Mena Palace. The feedback for the hotel seems to be good but could someone tell me if

There are any good restaurants, clubs nearby?

Also do the sunbeds also get taken really early here?

hi there,

i was there in june and if you was not round the pool before 9am you would not get a sunbed.
just behind the hotel is a great bar thats so cheap and the food is great, not sure of the name but it had english flags all round it.
If you find you cannot get round the pool go across the road to Trakia Plaza pool it's great and costs 10lev for two sunbeds and parosol.

just back from mena palace (fantastic)

Hey...Hope you had a great time...I have been atching the weather...I hope it showed me wrong resualts, cause it said that it was raining for about 3-4 days...Is that true? Did it rain alot when you were there, or just a cupple of showers?

How laong were you there? 2 weeks? How much did you burn of?

it did rain a couple of times but at times like 3.30 in the morning that was ok it never rained through the day anyone going to mena palace i found a site for you to look at with lots of info check it out http://menapalace-hotel.restaurant.bg

Hi becrum,

we are going to the mena palace in september, and have some questions,

1: Does the hotel have currency exchange?
2: does hotel have internet access?
3: what is the entertainment like?
4: whats the food like?

Any info, appreciated.

hey, it only rained on the last night when we were there. we got back on the 2nd.

it rained for about 20 mins then stopped.

Brad the hotel does have money exchange but you get a better rate at the crown exchange around the corner.
I believe they do have the internet (they didn't when I was there in May) But other members have said it is sorted now.
The entertainment is a couple who sing every night.

And the food is fairly good for Bulgarian hotel standards.
