sterling is easily changed here,and most major cards no problem,just remember to draw in larger amounts as you get charged for each transaction,some will only let you have ru 10,000/- others will allow 20,000/- so be aware,also a nationwide card gives a good exchange rate with little or no charge........squigs look forwards to seeing you again tell mr tai-kwan-do,i miss our chats
There's a lot to be said for a belt & braces approach in Goa. It was fine using a prepaid Euro card for our first week as the rate was excellent, but during the 2nd week, the Euro- INR rate fell so it was better to use sterling notes. BTW ICCI bank ATM in Canalgute had no probs with 20,000 INR
whats the rupee today in Goa 
we're off on saturday - does anyone know what the rate is in baga now please? i can look on the money exchange sites but they are always higher than you get in goa.

I have just found 60 Euros in a drawer, will I be able to change it at the same exchange booths as the Sterling?? it may buy me a few honey bees 
No problem. Euros, Dollars,Pounds and probably Roubles are widely accepted by money exchange places.
I always bring Euros to Goa and have never had a problem changing them - all the exchange places I went to had a rate for the Euro as well as Pounds. At the mo I think you'll get about 64 Rs to 1 Eur. Hopefully it'll go up a bit in the next 2 weeks before I go
