82.5
Does anyone know ATM charges on withdrawels, with Caxton fx cards.
where can I but some ruperts online at todays rate?
the best rate to be found around the resort, instead of 80 I'd get about 79 which was'nt too bad. I've used it a lot on my last visit to Australia about 9 months ago and there It worked out much better than the going rate, so it's swings and roundabouts really. I certainly find it useful as a bach up and never travel without it.

- I don't think you can easily buy Indian rupees on-line - it's supposed to be a closed currency.
Actually Thomas Cook DO seem to be flogging them, you can order on-line and then collect instore according to their website.
But the rate they offer seems horrible at just about 73 today.
Thanks for the reply gramps
Are you H/Trs still getting 82 INR to £1
Just had a look at 3 sites and they all show 82+ so really good compared to last season, what's the betting it drops by March, we got a sad 67rps - £ last time, all other years seemed to average around 73rps - would be happy with that.

When we were there in in Feb this year, we were getting 69/70, so hoping it stays around the 82 mark, as Tesco say.....Every little helps :-
Any bank account worth getting, which will allow me to withdraw from an ATM for free?
You must deposit £500 per month.

There are only bank charges where ATM's actually charge a fee, which no account can avoid.
Therefore, does anyone have a list of banks / ATM's in India which they know doesn't charge fees? Ideally in Candolim, and the one nextdoor to Nino's Nook, as that's the one which I use the most when in Goa
I've just opened up a Metro Bank account, no requirements for monthly spend or amounts paid in each month, and no charges for use anywhere in the world. There are only bank charges where ATM's actually charge a fee, which no account can avoid.

can anyone advise me on where to get bigger amounts of money changed or best way to bring it over..havin work done on teeth and dentist needs money up front!! will be in calangute
Holly we have had a lot of work done on our teeth over the years sometimes up to £360 bill. We take TC and get them changed at Valeries Travels in Calangute. We have often changed up to £500 there when settling bills etc.
Halifax have a new Credit Card called CLARITY, which is guaranteed to have NO cash withdrawal fees, or interest if paid back within the statement period.
Can you still change money in Newtons Supermarket, and if so has anyone seen a recent exchange rate there?
Hi Julian we took out a Halifax Clarity Card when Nationwide started charging
thanx for info brenliz!!! its actually for £1500 do u think that amounts ok to exchange where u said?
We have changed 2 lots of £500 on 2 consecutive days. She would definately do it for you if you gave her notice but it is a very busy office with people booking flights etc. so I am sure she will be ok with that amount on any day.
