Not yet been through the new tunnel. However Knowing it was due to be opened when we were in Tukey earlier this year, we timed how long we took to get over the mountain and it was about 7-8 minutes unless you got stuck behind a coach or lorry.
The claims that it cuts 20-30 minutes off the transfer time seem rather optimistic.

This year was our first time in Turkey, so I have no previous trips to compare it to, but our transfer to Olu Deniz still took over 2 hours even with the tunnel, this was because of all the drop-offs/pick-ups and the coach having trouble reversing/turning in areas around Calis Beach and hotels up in Ovacik and Hisaronu 
After the long arrival transfer I was very tempted to book a private taxi transfer for our return journey, these were available to to book at various agents in resort for a reasonable-ish price, but we stuck with the coach in the end, and the many pick-ups, and the screaming baby (the same baby which had screamed all the way through our flight 2 weeks earlier...)
Anyway, the tunnel itself was very quick but if your brochure says 2 hours, then it will be 2 hours. I think the brochures actually give an optimistic timing based on most of the coach all going to one hotel...

I think that is a very good point. Our transfer to the Belcekiz Beach with Thomson was quick for this journey, because they only stopped at a few hotels (5 or 6 at most and only in Olu D and Hisaronu). But if you drop off at 9 or 10 and go off to Calis Beach etc as well as Olu and Hisaronu that could add a lot of time to your journey. Trouble is you don't know in advance how simple or complex the drop offs are going to be.

hi going olu deniz 12/10/06 can anyone tell me if the new tunnel road is open yet
the new tunnel has been open at least a month now, and was officially opened a week or so ago by the PM.
yes the offical opening was on the 8th september but was open at least a month before that and it saves about 10 mins
