Can anyone help me? I've read in some of the older reviews that there is a pool towel service. However I can't find this mentioned recently.

We are travelling out on Thursday with 2 kids and a baby. The baby comes complete with 90 cartons of ready made milk formula. Therefore we are trying to cut down on other unnecessary luggage. Therefore I'm wondering can we do without bringing towels?

Also is there suitable food for an 8 month old baby?

Thanks

Can anyone tell me the restuarant and bar opening times? How much the pool towels and safe cost? What music is played in the disco? Is there any nearby bars that show premiership football? Also has anyone got a map of the hotel (have heard it is very large) to help us find our way around the place? :) :) Lots of questions I know. We are going 16th of April for a week with three teenage girls :yikes Thanks.

there is a bar or restaurant open from 8am till 6am - somewhere! breakfast was 8ish to about 10 ish, lunch 1 -3, dinner 7-10.15, then the snack bar is open from 11 - 6am

dont have to pay for pool towels, safe was 23 euros plus 23 deposit

dont need a map, its big but you'll get the gist of it pretty quick, think you'll have to go into playa blanca for the footie, its about a 40 min walk, there is a free bus during the day but its only 4 euro in a taxi.

Hi there,

We're off to the Papagayo Arena next Sunday. I've booked through First Choice, does anyone know if a rep accompanies to resort on the coach from the airport and whether there is a welcome meeting once at the hotel? I booked and went through Thomson last year and we had all that. Although FC and Thomson are the same company, I have noticed quite a lot of differences and so far unfortunately First Choice aren't coming out on top. :-(

Thanks v.much

Hello Helen,

Traditionally - the large Tour Operators have their own representative at the airport who ensures that all passengers are allocated to the correct coach going to the resort. However, this may be a local representative who may not accompany you on the coach to your hotel.

There may not be an "official welcome meeting", but you will always find a notice board located near, or in, the reception area where there will either be a notice or a folder belonging to First Choice on which will be the name of your representative and the times he/she will be visiting your hotel. There should also be a telephone number just in case you need to contact him/her outside of their visiting times.

If you need more info - you could contact their administration department on 0871 664 0136 [this should go direct through to them]

Have a lovely time at the Papagayo Arena Resort - we have always had good reports about it.
Kind regards
Gail
