I haven't stayed at a Park Resort site myself so can't really help you with a review but if you do decide to book have a search on the web first for privately owned caravans on the site, you usually find that the private caravans are a better standard and cheaper and the entertainment etc will still be included. ive been to a park resort in camber with the sun i found they were pretty good and cheap but entertainment during the day wasnt much good especially if you have children but you can get a bus in to rye or hastings which is good for shopping and things. if you do book up with them request for a caravan as the chalets arent really up to much. the passes,bed linen and electric are usally included in the price but if you book up make sure you find out though just to double check. hope this helped!

I went to park resorts at califonia cliffs last year, we had a gold 8berth caravan and i think we paid abot £280 for it. It was beautifully decorated, this caravan was privatley owned all gold caravans are but we booked through the park. our caravan was opposite the swimming pool (the outdoor pool wasnt open as it was the start of september).
There wasnt any entertainment in the day but there was bus stops just outside the camp, one went to great yarmouth and the other went to hemsby. The park is right opposite the beach with a chinese takeaway and arcade opposite,and a few camp sites down the road. On the camp there is a club house, shop, fish and chip shop, swimming pool, arcade, park, crazy golf, hire shop. During the evening the entertainment is aimed more at kids, bingo and music quizzes for the adults, small bar but reasonable priced, but the arcade is just outside the club house with a little takeaway. There is also a bar/ restaraunt with a nice big bar area, you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner, a big screen showing the sport, a pool table and darts board, also an outside area to sit and relax with a drink.
To be honest i did quite enjoy it, we got what we paid for camp wise, but the caravan was total value for money. when we left we booked to go back in september this year and we got a gold caravan 8 berth for a week for £256, absolute bargain.

As an owner I am probably biased but i must recommend Park Resorts , Ty Mawr site in Towyn North Wales. As stated in previous posts there is everything on site. The entertainment is great , though aimed primarily at kids until 8pm. The accommodation is mainly private even if you book through the park, but stick with gold or silver, as the few bronze vans are looking tired now. Book private for a bargain but make sure the passes are included in the price.

Having just spent a weekend at Ty Mawr please read my review before booking
The staff are very helpful and the site and facilities are ok but with what used to be an overflow camping site bursting to the rafters with tourers, the club etc can be a bit full, to say the least. Toilets etc were ok for our stay. We stayed on The Warren which is supposed to be a better part of the site
On the down side when we arrived there were some pitches occupied by huge Hobby caravans being pulled by transit vans laden with tarmacing shovels etc. Make your own minds up!
This is not what we expected from Park Resorts, and on our second morning we woke to find a van on our pitch with people sleeping in it
we complained and were treated courteously but got the impression that this was the norm, so beware when you book this site.
We were also woken by groups of youngsters trying to find their caravan in the early hours whilst drunk out of their skulls. Security tried to sort them out but as soon as they had gone the noise started again
If that sort of thing does not bother you then this may the site for you, but not for us!

As others state if you want a static van best book with any of us owners as we give far better value (with many extras).

Just come back from Thorness Bay on the Isle of White.
Mainly chalets and caravans but 2 feilds near entrance for touring ( due to have new facilities this year according to the sign.

We went on a Sun holiday so expected basic accomodation but were given a shed!!!!

It was classed as a chalet but was defo a shed!!
Filthy on the outside and not much better on the inside.
Curtains were mouldy
Not one of the windows would open properly, one in the bathroom was so rotten the sill was falling off.
carpet needed a very good clean, I didn't take my shoes off and I always walk round bare footed!
sofa's were just awful
Shower cubicle had problems with dranage and there was black mould in the corner on the outside.
dirty cutlery and overall had the impression was that it had not been cared for in years.
It did have a micro and fridge freezer. My husband repaired the ariel so we could watch the tv.
One plug in radiator for the whole 2 bedroomed shed.
Looked so bad demolition would have been an improvement..

Conplained and told only had same standard of accomodation available but was a caravan.

well we were very impressed and would never have put the two types in the same class.

Really clean and modern, more utensils and just better all round.
heated throughout and a fire, double oven, shower room and seperate loo.

The site was in a very good location, bit of a slope but nice pebble beach.
Venue was expensive for drinks £3.45 for a small bottle of wine ( 1 large glass ) £2.50 for a slush puppy!!! Think it was £2.60 for a pint of lager but OH didn't like it!
Bingo at 7pm then kids stuff Sparky and Narky which the kids loved then various dancing competions and musical bumps etc.
Park for kids and football and basketball courts.

Didn't have time t test out the pool but on the whole would go again if it was a bargain but defo not in a shed!!

Sorry to hear about the start of your holiday in "THE SHED" but it got better once you went into the caravan
Unfortunately the Sun holidays will often put you into any grade accomodation, permitting them to call the holiday a bargain.
Why not book direct with owners in future who only want to cover there ground rents/overheads when theyre not using the caravans themselves, also always offering a far better class of accomodation.
Its very rare you will ever get an owner offering a bad service as it would look bad against potential clients & a complaint is taken very personal as its like welcoming someone into your own home. There is trust both ways that the client will respect the owners property & that the owners provide a high standard for them/you to enjoy.
