My friend booked our flight tickets and booked mine in my married name, though my passport is still in old name. Tickets booked thru Airflights.co.uk, who tell me that providing i got married within the last 2 years ( i did) i can travel with my 'old name' passport, and 'new name' tickets, as long as i take my marriage certificate. The customer service rep at Airflights got a bit uppity when i asked her if she was 'sure', as this conflicts with 'advice' by the passport agency, though their reasons (apart from wanting another £72 for a new passport) are that i may be refused entry into Turkey.
Am hacked off with this, cant get a number for Onur Air to ask them, to change the name on the ticket, although its not yet been issued, is £50 (according to airflights) and more importantly....its just a NAME change on the passport....how can they justify charging in full for another one? Doesnt cost anything to change a name on a UK driving licence, and they require the same documentation as the passport agency.

Seems a rip off to me.
I guess as i dont want to risk being refused boarding there's no choice really...2 new pics, ( i hear vaseline on the lens helps with the wrinkles

) new passport, and £72 less spending money.
