Hi everyone, new to this board, wonder if anyone can help?
Going to Pdla, beginning of Dec for two weeks, for my 50th, with hubby and my teenage daughters, please could you tell me what the nightlife will be like, will everything still be open, my husband seems to think it will be dead, hope with your help I can prove him wrong. Also is the weather usually good?
December, Jan and Feb fills up with the pesioners here for the winter.
Bar owners usually take a break in December so some are closed, they reopen for christmas.
After saying that there will still be plently open, the big showbars don`t seem to close at all.
You will still find loads of entertainment and restaurants.
Weather wise the worst two months are Jan and Feb, still a million times better than the UK.
Hope it works out.

Thank you so much for your reply, feel much better now, hope to have a great time.
Hi Laysha, Puerto is lovely in the winter. We have been many times, we are going again this November. We expect the resort to be fully open and lively. Ok maybe a few shops closed, but most will be open and taking money. Lots to do for all ages. I hope your daughter will be able to keep up with you. Best way to get around is the local bus, buy a BONO card for half price fares.
What is the time difference in winter and what time does it go dark?
If you look om a world map you will see the Canaries are near enough the same longitude as us.
I would say it goes dark about 90 mins later than UK.
But then the lights come on in PDLA so you don`t get that depressed feeling you can get in the UK.
Hope it helps.
