We only returned from this hotel yesterday evening so it is all still fresh in my mind.

About a 10 minute walk along the beach is a row of little shops and bars. One is called Cafe on the Rocks (if you get to the resaurant with a parrot outside called Ronaldo then you have gone too far!) There are two big screens on the back walls that they show the football on. We went in there on Sunday 7th and watchedthe Man Utd and Arsenal games. I would imagine they would show the World cup. The food is also very nice in this bar and the owners are very friendly. Hope this helps and have a great time, we definately did!

Thanks

Hi there

We returned from this hotel on Tuesday 9th May and the weather was fantastic, we all came back with great tans!! On average it was probably between 20-30 degs c. It can get a bit chilly in the evenings so it is advisable to take a jacket or something.

Hope this helps.

Hi

We're back....had a great time...this hotel is great. The kids loved it. The slides were great and lazy river was wonderful. There was only one day when we struggled to find any sunbeds. The food was good and there was plenty of choice..I would definitely go again!

:D

The sunbed problem mainly occurs in high season, we witnessed a couple of rows over them last year where people had reserved them then someone else had taken them, I really don't know why hotels allow the reserving of them

Hi there, were thinking of this hotel for a fortnight in September, notice on website they say sea water swimming pools, can anyone clarify this please as my 7 year old would spend whole fortnight in pool but not if salty. Any advice on weather in middle September would also be appreciated.

Hi yes the swimming pools are sea water, but it's nowhere near as salty as swimming in the sea, we never had a problem with it, my Daughter spent a great deal of time in the water and she was fine.

We met people over there last August who returned again in the October and they had decent weather all week so I'm sure you'll be fine for September, if anything I think it would be more bearable :D

Hi
Just back last week. Brilliant time! To answer the question about laundry, too late for the previous post but for anyone else interested, There is no laundry in the hotel but if you ask at reception they will arrange for a local laundrettes to collect your washing and it will be delivered back to your room. Cost was £11 euros for a sack full.
Cheers supersox

I would recommend this hotel to everyone but especially families with young children. 8)

Hallo,

I've just had my holiday to Kos Aqua Beach cancelled by first choice and am now going to, you guessed it, the Hotel Petra Mare! Can't wait, it looks fab (apart from the transfer time).

Going on 11th August, anyone else going then?

Hi I too have had my holiday cancelled at Kos Aqua Beach Club - i'm going to Petra Mare on 14th July!! Looks great - cant wait after all the trouble we have had. 8)

I know, hopefully the Petra Mare will make up for all the hassle! The reviews sound great. Transfer time a bit naff, but I'm sure we'll cope! You can let me know what it's like when you get back, (if you'd be so kind).
People still in turmoil cos of the cancellations, check the forum out and you'll see.
Happy holidays, here's hoping it's a very, very good one!
