CAZ,

Firstly welcome to the forums, looks like you had a great time at Club Alize. Was there two years ago and thought it was good. There are a few regular posters on here who love Club Alize and I'm sure would be interested to hear some wider comments about food, staff, entertainment and the like. Oh, not sure about your unusual style of typing and found it difficult to read. Probably better to stick with lower case and that way you will comply with the terms and conditions.

We went to Club Alize last year for a week and had a fantastic time, so this year we decided to go for two and I must say...what a dissapointment! The staff are rude and the bad language is disgraceful. My partner has been learning Turkish all year and I don't think they realised that he could understand most of what they where saying. (They usually try and cover it up with a hand shake/slap and a smile but 9 times out of 10 what they where saying was bang out of order!) On one occasion a rep asked me if I was from Ireland and I said England, so he told me to **** ***!!! I was gutted! They even had the cheek to ask us to pay for their food when we went to get drinks from the bar!
The prices are alot higher this year too, £7.50 for 6 cans of efes from the shop inside Alize!!! Thats more expensive than the Uk. Its pointless trying to find some cheap spirits to bring home either as you can buy all that they have for around the same price in England. The only thing that is still cheap is the cigarettes. Even the fake designer labels are quite expensive this year (considering that they are FAKES!) The aftershaves and perfumes are watered down to... They smell nice in the bottle but once sprayed you can only smell it for 5 minutes before it fades...Waste of money!!

The harrasment in the shops and restaurants in Marmaris is alot worse this year as well. Even going as far as asking my husband if he would like to go back to the shop after 1am for s*x for cash...and yes this is coming from a male shop attendant! I was furious and when refused the lad kept asking and asking and was trying to block our exit from the shop!...well Im sorry but this holiday cost us a fortune when you take into account spending money as well and all that money spent just to be harassed and called names was a total waste!
On the other hand the best parts of the holiday where the weather (it was roasting for June!), the aqua park and the new restaurant opposite Club Alize cousins. The food in there was fantastic and very reasonably priced and the service was second to none! its just a shame the rest of the holiday was ruined by greedy Turks who will do anything to get your money and think they can call you whatever they want in Turkish and you will be none the wiser.
Im not usually the type to complain but this has really upset me because I was looking forward to having a fantastic time but now im just left with a memory of it being two weeks of torment and a total waste of money..sorry to have such a negative report guys but its best to hear all sides of the story if your thinking of booking this as your next holiday.

That is awful, did you complain to anyone when you were there?

Maybe try another resort next time, if there is a next time! I stay in apartments in Calis Beach, they dont do any entertaining but they are friendly and have time for you and will do anything to help.

Hi Lazydayz

I stayed at the Alize the first year it opened, hated every min of the 3 days we stayed there. The staff and management are horrid unless you are buying alcohol day and night then they will acknowlrdge you  they were rude and ignorant, our party of 5 moved to a much nicer place after 3 days and were free to enjoy the rest of our holiday.

Oh my god that sounds awful
I'm due to go in august with my family and another family who are new to Turkey so i hope its not gonna be a big disapointment.
I only booked this place cause of all the positive feedback, i'm getting worried now
Please can someone who's just got back tell me its not all bad even if its just to put my mind at rest.

Thanks Jo..xx

Hi saronq,
No not really my husband was called a yamyam one day by a member of staff and he didnt know what that meant so he asked another rep and he said it meant "you d*ck" and then he asked reception and she laughed and said it meant cannibal!...Fantastic customer service isnt it! We just filled in the questionaire with alot of negative feedback and made a point of saying that we will never go back to club alize!!
A note to anyone who is sunbathing around the pool - If one of reps walks past you and mutters something in Turkish ask what it means before smiling because he might just be calling you a fat cow or worse!

dont worry jo were going back on monday for the 3rd time , we've been to a few places ie spain .balearics etc and we had never stayed at the same hotel twice untill we stayed at the club alize , so dont worry thier is far more people leaving positives on this and other forums so i'm sure you will have a fantastic time , cheers simon

I seem to be one of those people who could read 100 positive reviews but as soon as i read a negative one i start panicking.( Hubby thinks i should stop reading them altogether).
Hope you have a great holiday, and please let me know what its like this year( as long as its positive  ).
