Honeymooning in Pernera this year - Oct 3rd

Hi

New poster here looking for a few answers to a few questions....

1. Staying in a private villa in pernera in October & wanted to know what Pernera is like as a resort, i.e. is there plenty of choice for bars/restaurants & shops & what are the beaches like?? Is it comparable in size to any other resort you have visited, if so where? We were in Sidari last year & would love it to be like there!

2. How long would it take to walk to centre of Protaras? We're both 23 so can walk at a fair pace

(no offence to anyone older!!)

We've both never been to Pernera/Protaras before so we're really looking forward to it.... cant wait! 11 weeks tomorrow!

Pernera is a small but growing resort. It has plenty of tavernas and bars. The beaches tend to be secluded little bays which are great to go down to at night and just stare at the stars.

Protaras can be walked in 20 minutes along the coastal path (see previous threads), but probably best to only do this in daylight. A taxi between Protaras and Pernera is only about £4 (Cyp).

Ayia Napa is only £9 in a taxi, but it will have quietened down by then.

Thanks Baggieboy..... it sounds like it will be perfect! Can stay in Pernera a few nights & head into Protaras a few as well.

.....just have to get through the next 10 and a half weeks now! :roll:
