what i miss is a proper beer
My comfy bed.
My teapot..... and Lurpack butter, but I love my holidays, lol. Linda.
On the last day of any holiday I always look forward to a proper cup of tea, a nice cheddar cheese & branston sandwich and my own bed. And then there's my comfy sofa, big telly with proper channels, and having a bath/shower and actually feeling "clean" afterwards
Just my cat Rosie, and my car I know but I like my little KA and I miss it
My bed and a nice cup of tea.
sad as it may sound , i miss a good old british cup of tea
For me it's my church family (hubby and I go to a cross community, non denominational church and it is like one massive family). We ran up a big phone bill on my mobile when we were on our honeymoon phoning people.
without being rude .... my toilet
The washing up and hoovering!.
I'd love to live abroad if I had no family ties.
Absolutely nothing, apart from taking the micky out of LisawithanS on the Goa forum
so with you on that one Llindy, there's nothing like 'going' on your own
You can get all the English food items over here that you want.
I can 'make do' with anything, anywhere as it's all part of the experience but I always enjoy my first wash in my power shower when I get home.
I don't miss them enough to take them with me or anything, and it is nice to get back in your own bed after a fortnight.
i can honestly say, absolutely nothing, i have never been a home bird, i love trying new things and really try not to get into habits at home-variety is what keeps me going! everything on hols seems better...rose tinted specs i suppose, but for 2 weeks out of 52, i think it is something really special to enjoy...so i resolve not to think about home/work/hoovering/cleaning up cat litter trays at all...my cat actually looks forward to our departure i think, he is going through that elderly feline ''leave me alon or i will hiss at you'' phase lately...i think his mates get let through the back door as soon as our taxi arrives...but i suppose i do miss him a little tiny bit
I don't really miss anything. I avoid watching TV and never pick up an English paper. However the first thing that happens as we walk back through the door is the kettle goes on and we make a cup of tea!
