by the way it is very hot at the moment in the 40s in the days so wear a high factor we started off with a factor 40 and then worked down and still had a lovely tan and we are usually the cooking oil kind so it must have been burning. we came home in a taxi at 1 in the morning and it was 27 degrees then . good luck hope you like the heat we did .
hi jenkins
hi gwyn any questions ask away have been home a week but havent been on much had some bad news on my return so fire away i will do a full report when i have time
john i mean lots of laughs
sorry to hear that you had bad news on your return. i really just wanted an update on the wave pool, but fully understand if you are busy at the moment.
take care
john
sorry for my lateness again the wavepool is open opened on the thursday before we left so thats the 12th but the slides werent ready have heard that they would be ready by the following week so it will be all open by now. becareful though in my opinion and quite a few other peoples it looked quite dangerous especially if not a strong swimmer my 9 year old is a strong swimmer and can do about 50 lengths of the pool but i struggled to watch him and look after myself could have been as it was so busy with open day though. also watch out for the spanish who visit they jump off the rocks and nearly landed ontop of my four year old without a care. will be great fun but have your wits about you.
any last minute questions ask away now ill check it later and the morning if i got the days right your going on saturday . tips get a bus timetable from reception when you get there so its to hand and if your doing washing take your own washing powder and softiner very expensive in the shop and also something to use as a washing line. ie spare cord i had a travel line from marks and spencers for a couple of quid and worth every penny. tied it to two chairs on the corner of the balcony as balconies so big didnt get in the way dont forget the pegs though.
thanks for the info jenkins, that'll be all for now.
have a nice time let me know what you thought when you get back
Thanks Phil
yes the rooms are airconditioned and very good air conditioning at that i took a points card with nothing on from a store as the electricity is card operated so when you put the room card in it works but if u take a card of no value u can leave the aircontioning on all day, the maid takes it out but u can then pop it back in if u nip to the room its nice to come back to a cool room as its very hot out there. we left it on when out in the evenings then turned it off as its actually cold enough all through the night after youve had it on in the evening to cold to leave on all night even when it was 27 degrees in the early hours so yes excellent airconditioning, the hotel is british u will find the majority being scottish and irish which is rare and the rest english and welsh. you will have a very large balcony, a bedroom with id say two three quater beds , a living room and a kitchen and a very large bathroom so yes u get a kettle fridge cooker and i think microwave if i can remember. top tip take descaling tablets with you as our kettle was thick white at the bottom with limescale and had a strong taste in tea not pleasant so didnt bother.have loadsa info send a private message and let me know what you want to know.
Counting the days now!!]
Did anyone go to Tivolli World?? What is it like, would you recommend?
Thanks
Phil

Isn't that a bit like fraud putting a dud card in the aircon? Also leaving it on whilst you are out is not very eco-friendly is it?
what are you talking about putting a dud card into the air con no into the electricity holder and it doesnt matter what cards in there it just detects that a card is. all hotels that have this system are the same. any card works so theres no such thing as a dud card.i go on holidays once a year and paid three thousand pounds for it so if i want to leave it on so its cool for the kids when they get back i will was i advising you no, and im sure that a load of other people do it so lets get off our high horse lady and discuss holidays not the enviroment which i do think of the other 50 weeks of the year ok.and if you read on the room was so cool after that i saved on putting it on through the night so think that its even dont you .
yes went to tivoli and selwo marine park. the kids enjoyed them both but id say selwo was the best option. tivoli opens at six and selwo all day we went in the evening and saw the repeated shows kids had a photo with dolphins at the shallow end of the pool excellent. the penguin iceland was really good and also seal, dolphin, wild birds and reptile show we got there at 6.30 and left after the last show which was the dolphin at 11. if you want dolphin photos taken get there before 7 as thats the llast time and go to the photo booth right at the entrance. its easy to go by bus 1 euro each and get off outside mcdonalds we had mcdonalds and in the happy meals were free entrance tickets to selwo marine parks for kids which was alot cheaper as price of entrance is more than the happy meal. then walk straight on til you come to a booth which sells sweets and take the left up a hill its at the top. tivoli is by taxi its cheaper to go by taxi at reception and return as there are loads of taxis outside when you come out of tivoli than going with the hotel think we saved about 40 euro doing it that way and then you can leave when you like. also on the same road as mcdonalds if you cross over to the seafront you will see a reddish castle walk around this onto the promenade theres a lovely walk and really nice places to eat if you fancy eating out one night. belemadena looks worn out when you drive through but if you go the other side of the castle then its really nice. also aqualand in torremilinos was a great day out and again alot cheaper to do it yourselves with taxis than with the hotel.
