Hi you will both really enjoy it! The hotel and local people were saying that it will get into the forties mid week next week but looking at forecasts today it will stay the same which is still hot!!!! Hubby burnt using factor forty suncream!!!! So watch the baby!
There was no DVD player in our room, think its only in the select rooms but my kids were happy with the tv when showering etc.
Iron was down in the laundry room although I didnt use it!!
Dont know if facilities will be reduced but I wouldnt have thought so,not that soon.

Thanks Marissa

Hopfully not that hot for jack, do you know if all drinks are included beer, cider wines etc my partner is wanting to know , last time we went here jack was 4mths old so bed time was 6pm

we might get to push it out to 8 or 9 this time!

thanks

lynjack...we'll see you there and EDGE...there will be me and my two sons 9+14(the 14yr old is 14 on the 20th when we are there) and i'll be wearing my welsh rugby top on arrival i expect, as wales are playing on the day we fly out!!

oh yes...forgot to mention the inlaws are coming with us too...lol
i'll have to get the mother-in-law drunk...cant wait!!

I know how you feel, this isnt my first time to the hotel and everytime i get more excited, hope you love it as much as me, ive been on a few holidays abroad and june this year i went to Viva menorca and to be honest nice hotel but did not come close, and the hotel security for children is peace of mind, and the long bridge people talk about takes you 2mins and even with buggy etc it never annoyed me in anyway

Hope you have agreat time :D

Dont know about the other drinks but I stuck with the red wine which was lovely and hubby had the beer which didnt cause him any tummy aches!

lynjack & marrissa, thanks for the useful info!! Great help

I hope it isnt in the 40s - thats far too hot and i would be worried about the kiddie!

Paul, I'm a massive rugby fan too, but english i am afraid ;) I'll probably catch you in the bar then haha! I'll take my england top, but depends how how it gets as those rugger tops arent thin! Getting the mother in law drunk sounds dangerous to me!!

Marissa, we went to the village viva in can picafort in 2005 and thought it was great, but got boring after a week or so. The thing it had going for it was how well kids were catered for, which is why we have chosen the village type again, but this one looks like it has far more to do and you've all made me confident ive got the right place.

Another question though - will we have problems booking our 2.9 year old into the kids things when we are there or should we sort it all out before we go??

My kids are too shy to go to clubs but there didnt seem to be problems booking kids in and the kids looked really happy. Go to the welcome meeting at the start and they give out reg forms for the clubs.

I'll sort it out when I am there then - would rather see the clubs first hand anyway before I go and book for my daughter.

I'm getting a bit worried about the weather. I know you said it was due to be in the 40s, but Ive seen a few forecasts that show showers and even thunderstorms over the next week or so :(

i woundnt worry too much about the weather ive been reading up on it as im going 30th sept (1st week oct) and rain usually starts end sept but even when it does rain it rarely last more than a day.

my 2nd time going here it rained the first day i arrived for a couple of hours then changed as quick to complte sun 30o

dont worry too much
