I was just trying to be dramatic for entertainment purposes only
let me rephrase
We need some pictures crawling their weary way back to the forum so much so that they will make less progress than a line of asthmatic ants...with shopping.
I think they have all dozed off down here... its gone all quiet !
Can't fault anything-----------and can I just say what brilliant company Carrot and Mrs. C. are
We had such a laugh!!!!!! The staff were kept very busy in the bar
But I don't think they minded
Alvin, I think you should employ young Jack as a "thingy", he was certainly the only level headed person we saw in the hotel over a fortnight! Would you please ask "the magic tree" what the lottery numbers are for next week?
To anyone reading this that hasn't visited Swisscare yet, if you want a totally chill out holiday in wonderful accomodation, wonderful surroundings and with lovely food and service, give it a try, I cant recommend it enough!
Can only echo what Carrot has said-------totally fantastic in every way!!!!
Can't do the hotel justice in words You have to go and experience it for yourselves
Just one fantastic holiday!!!!!!!
Although I only stayed for a day, night and day I sincerely recommend you visit the Swisscare for a relaxing holiday, highly attentive staff, delicious food served on the beach (next to your sunbed!), at the pool or in your dining room (I asume also in your room??) and a big snog from the owner!
I would mention that since the lovely Phil, Pippy's mum, who, incidentally, looks as if she is Pippy's sister, managed to lock herself in the loo in reception at Swisscare, nobody has been able to get in it!!!!!!!! Several female guests have been seen trying to run back to their rooms, cross legged! No doubt "Big Willy" will get it sorted in due course.
Although we know that the water will be a little chilly and the temperature will (normally) be in the low 70'sF, we are really looking forward to spending our wedding anniversary at Swisscare. We've been to Nuweiba for Christmas and we've been in march but february will be a first. We did spend our honeymoon in a february in Luxor and the weather was fantastic, so fingers crossed!
How romantic - wonderful for you...
Actually, Alan, it is supposed to be pool week, thats the one with the balls. You could try asking PSH who he reckons will be the winner! He tried everything last week, drink, drugs, binoculars, praying to the magic tree and he still couldn't beat me. Come to that, he only managed to beat Mrs C. by a whisker! He's only at his best when playing germanic people at chess or Scrabble and then he only wins by intimidation and threats or just plain cheating! Do you know, we even witnessed him beating one of his staff at chess, a very nice Egyptian boy called Osama, or Sammy to the guests. He actually gloated over it The word "Monopoly" was never mentioned during our stay at Swisscare, although we had taken a brand new portable version with us, but then, it has taken him a while to build one hotel, so perhaps he's a little apprehensive?
I have certainly recommended the hotel to like minded people, although
would have to suggest taking a screw driver into the ladies loo !!.
SAd to be back in the uk, but only 102 weeks and we will be back
It was a pleasure meeting you too, Phyll, and Pippy. I understand that Alvin is having CCTV installed in the ladies loo so that he can see if anyone is in distress or not!
Sorry when I saw you on the terrace on Thurs morning-------on my way back to change for the 2nd time--------We were on are way to St Kaths-----and first of all I'd put shorts on-so had to change--------then I had a vest top on=-so had to change again!!!!!
So just said a quick "Hello"-----as they were all waiting for me in the car park Didn't mean to be rude
It was great meeting you
Then---------Got to the port and realised I'd forgotten the passports-------and had to go back again
Do you know what, Dor, sitting by the pool having breakfast and watching you going backwards and forwards to your room that morning, was the only time I wished I'd taken a video during the holiday! It was priceless!
It must have been hysterical some demented "thingy" running back and forward
But Carrot... how about posting the Dor Dor on a Camel shot that you took ! Loved her expression.
and as I dont want to get on the wrong side of the lovely, Nette Mate, I just may post the picture concerned in "another place", along with the incredible shot of Pip Mate going for the world "burger bolting" record! Just for the moment though, I'm afraid I have a delicious char-grilled tuna steak, marinated tiger prawns and an avocado salad that need my undivided attention!
I am so homesick for egypt its terrible, wish i wasnt going to mexico now.
Still come next May and i will be on line booking 2009 !
This should warm the old cockles of your heart mate! I was talking to a complete stranger today in Asda (as is my wont) and the conversation got around to holidays and then Egypt.Learning that I was a regular visitor to that part of the world, the lady enquired, "I don't suppose you know if The Swisscare Resort is any good? All the reviews say its lovely, which makes me worry a little."
Needless to say, I soon put her straight about how nice the place was (if you dont include the owner) and we parted with her assuring me that they would seriously consider a visit next summer.
Your reputation is spreading!
My invoice will follow via carrier pigeon!
