Essential Medical Equipment
Passengers are permitted to carry through airport security medical equipment essential for use during the period of their trip. Where possible the equipment should be contained within the ONE item of cabin baggage and again should be accompanied by supporting documentation from a relevant qualified medical professional.
I have highlighted a section which as you will see, allows airlines and airports a certain element of discretion or flexibility to decide whether the equipment 'should' be carried or 'must' be carried within the one permitted item of hand baggage. However, bear in mind that even if Flyglobespan confirm that you may carry the equipment in addition to your permitted hand luggage, they will only be referring to their own company policy on this issue. You will also be subject to the security arrangements in place at the two airports you will be using and their policy may well be different, and so I would advise that you also check out the situation with them.
If you would like to post in that Hand Luggage topic, you may hear from someone with experience of travelling with that particular piece of medical equipment. But they could only speak in relation to the airlines and airports which they have used, you would still need to check with those which you are using.
