Going to Disneyland Paris inbetween Christmas and New Year. It's a surprise for the children so we won't tell them until Christmas day. I can't wait, I know it will be busy but the atmosphere should be wonderful
I would love to go away at christmas but my kids remind me we go to nans house and all the family come over, its a tradition. I will get away from the cold one christmas. I think somewhere like goa or the caribbean with 80 to 90 degrees of heat, lovely. The hard part is coming back to the dark gloomy days and the cold.
Off to Benidorm on 26th December. This will be the 3rd time I've been for new year and the 3rd lot of different people I've been with!
Daughter, son-in-law and 2 cats move out there this coming weekend.
Margarita Island, 30th dec for 2 weeks
I guess we will have a quiet Christmas day just me, Rob and the kids and on Boxing Day, i guess everyone will come to my house.
I am a little of a traditionalist at chrimbo. When i was a child, everyone used to go to my Nan's for Christmas Dinner, then everyone used to come to our house on Boxing Day and then as I got older and had my own place, they all came to me on New Years Day. Our family numbers have dwindled with time and survivors being scattered across 4 continents so people tend to do their own thing now. I think I would like to be somewhere hot though!
Off to South Goa on the 16th of December until 6th Jan. Cant wait to be sitting on the beach Xmas day watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand
ive never been before and have heard it is suposed to be fantastic at new year, im starting to get excited now! x
Stayin put too. Mick is on night shift yet again so me and Tom will be off round my sisters about 10pm for a hootenany, then back home around 12ish New years Day in time to put the dinner on and Mick getting up.
Well we havent ever been away for a christmas before always stayed home , my youngest daughter is 8 years old and had her first xmas with her nan & grandad last year seeing as they go away for xmas every year but now they have mooved to Cyprus we may be going to cyprus from 20th dec - 5th january have fun everyone & lets hope xmas 2007 will be a white one;)
New Years Eve will be spent in Bangkok
staying at home for xmas and new year. Will have xmas day and boxing day off. then new years day and 2nd jan off. so having these 4 days off, will be bliss. as at work, from about middle of november, right up to christmas eve, work will be semi-organised chaos.
As usual we will be flying to the UK to spend Christmas with my mother in law. We should be back in Germany for New Years Eve and hope to spend some time in the Alps skiing (if there is any snow). Each year we say we would like to spend Christmas/New Year somewhere warm but the last time that happened was in 1996 when I spent New Years Eve in Bangkok.
I've always fancied having a week/ten days after xmas, say from the 27th-ish, but I never get around to booking anything, it's always so expensive! This year son has been applying for temp xmas jobs, so it's possible he'll be working in the sales just after xmas anyway
Sadly, nowhere as my hubby is on nights on both xmas and new years eve this year
We are off to The Gambia at 7 am Christmas Eve morning for two weeks. We've done New Year before but its our first time being away for Christmas. Our children are grown up now - gonna have Christmas Day when we come back. Really looking forward to Christmas Day on the beach
