Have flown with Flyjet 3 times this year, Jan, April & July. Everytime they have been excellent. Staff are friendly efficient and smart. No problems at all and I've just booked to fly with them again in August. :D

I pre ordered a bottle of Champagne onboard(Phoned Flyjet direct) for my daughter and her boyfriend as they were to become engaged while on holiday. When i asked for it to be presented to them i was told that Flyjet don't even offer that kind of service. I recieved confirmation by post before we left and £20 was taken out of my account, But unfortunately i left confirmation at home so couldn't prove what i was saying.

Oh, bum. I've ordered champagne for our trip as it's our 10th wedding anniversary while we're away. I'll make sure I take the conf!

Flyjet are a great little airline when everything goes right! Just like anyother airline, Flyjet does have delays but this year, at MAN they have only had a couple and one major delay. Because they only have one aircraft based at manchester and one at newcastle it is very hard to avoid a delay if something goes wrong as they havent got the aircraft to swop around to get you on your way. this summer most delays have only been an hour or two with the odd one 6 hours and another unfortunalty 27 hours but this 27hour delay involved some serious damage to the aircraft and it took time to repair.
Also most delays that have been an hour ish have been down to ground movement, and we dont like boarding you lovely passengers before we have to, and im sure you dont want to sit on an aircraft for an hour longer then you have to, thats why we keep you in the departure longue so you can use the facilities.
With reguard to seating arrangements we try our upmost best to sit everyone together, the only time it gets tricky is if your the very last passengers to check in and their might not be say 5 seats together but there are 3 on row 14 and 2 on row 26 then that is when we would split you up. We will always tell you also if we have to split you up.
From october thou, flyjet will no longer be flying  which is a great shame. We will miss it here at MAN next summer.

we went with flyjet from newcastle to egypt 22 july.

no flight delays but that was the only thing that was good.. no entertainment so a lot of bored kids for 5 1/2 hours, ok the meal is free but you have to buy your own tea/coffee to go with it, we found the seats very uncomfortable so all in all it wasn`t a good flight and i`m only glad that we didn`t get booked up to go with our friends this sunday. this has put me off flyjet and am glad they won`t operate after october...

and as a result, the knock on effect means that the Friday 18.45 flyjet flight from Newcastle to Heraklion is also delayed indefinately. It should go sometime on Saturday morning.

The malaga flight with Flyjet was also delayed yesterday!!! Out of the 4 flights that Flyjet had out of newcastle in the last 2 days 3 where delayed at least 18-21 hours and one was delayed about 4 hours!!! I would NEVER book a fly jet.

Also on the day i was flying out of Newcastle 31st July the Flyjet flight that was neabt to leave at 7am was delayed till gone 8pm that day!!!

It seems to be an ongoing problem with them also it seem to be always a problem with the aircraft would make me worried, at least the problems have been on the ground rather than when it is in flight!

Anyone else supposed to be going on the 07.00 flight to dalaman on the 14th Sept? We have just been informed via letter that this has now been changed to 9pm that night instead and departs at 5pm on the way home instead of 2pm. That means we lose more or less a day in resort. We are only goin for a week so this is so frustrating!!

What could the reason be for this??? I bet they haven't filled the later one so are shuffling people to the later flight. It's such a massive difference I'm so annoyed....we specifically chose the morning flight as well!

Probably due to the fact that Flyjet are ceasing trading on 31st October. They are cancelling or merging quite a few flights throughout september, their was an announcement in August about it.......

I am/was booked to fly with them in May 08 (as part of a package) and the tour op is negotiating alternative arrangements to cover the Flyjet flights, odds on that I'll 'lose' my nice 10am flight ??

This is the latest news on Flyjet,

tried to post link but ridiculous rule prevents me from doing so !

type in your self....the w's......fly-jet dot com slash news slash

No worries for anyone booked with them, XL france are taking over the workload; and particularly into Cyprus, Monarch and Eurocypria will be handling some of the operation.
I work on the ground in Cyprus for a Holiday company, and over the past year, Flyjet have not been too bad, its just the past month there have been major delays, this it would appear to be as a result of the disgruntled flight crews being made redundant, turning up late for flights, or made sure one went sick, leaving the crew short and unable to fly, so to be fair to Flyjet, most of the delays this past month were not the fault of the airline......

Fly Jet have had a problem of delayed flights out of newcastle since June!! So that I reacon is 3 months....if it is because of travel crew then why dont they be HONEST with their customers i think they would have had a lot more less angry people....rather than saying the plane cant take off because of parts of the plane need fixing and we are waiting for replacemnts parts to come.......

Hi Gill, I can only comment on Manchester -Cyprus , did not know they flew out of Newcastle ........I thought XLA covered that part of the operation.....The issue with the crew has only been the past month as they were given 6 weeks notice........most finishing from now through October.......

Yeah the last flight was last week from Newcastle and to celerbrate their last flight the flight out and back where deleyed over 24 hours!!!!

Good ridence to a crap outfit. Hope they dont resurface under another
name. At newcastle you did not have to ask if there was going to be a
delay, just how long it was going to be this time.

We travelled from Manchester to Sharm return in September with Flyjet and could not find any faults - the crew were brilliant and the flight left Manchester 20 minutes late but arrived in Sharm 30 minutes early, and the only complaint about the return flight was that it was too hot on the plane. I would have been more than happy to fly with Flyjet again and I am sorry that they will not be in business after the end of this month.
