If you search on the Thomson site (INVALID URL and then choose Hotels only, Balearics, Majorca, Magalluf - then it gives you a selection of Hotels, including the Son Matius, which I would have thought was Palma Nova. The Son Matius Beach is showing over 600 pounds for a weeks half board for two, whilst the Sol Antillas (excellent 4 * Hotel) is less than 400, and the Magalluf Park is less than 300. You may be able to improve on those prices even further by cross checking the sol website (INVALID URL where they guarantee the lowest price, and you do not pay until your holiday.

Most of the Bars and Restaurants will be open in both Magalluf and Palma Nova, and there will be people about, without it being too busy. Obviously you cannot guarantee good weather in March, but it's normally pretty good. It's 11th November as I write this, and it's mid 20's celcius, lovely warm day.
