Thanks for the information. I will check it all out. The bus I will get is the Letterkenny bus and come off at Lifford. A cousin will meet me so I just need to check out the times. Also I need to go from Ballybofey to Enniskillen but I will get a bus from Donegal town which will take me. Need to find out how to get to Donegal from there. My Cousin took me the last time but I can't rely on friends and need to have a programme of times myself.
Finally I need to get from Lisnaskea back to Dublin Airport I did it in the Summer but need to check out the winter timetables

Again thanks for the shopping info.

Hi Sue ... the Bus Eireann website should hopefully provide you with all the info on services from Ballybofey to Enniskillen via Donegal Town, and Lisnaskea to Dublin Airport, etc.

Can anyone help me please ?
We are due to go to Dublin on Thu 17th Jan for 2 nights with friends for my other half's 30th, we'll be staying at The Stay Dublin Ivy Apartments which are on Granby place, Dublin 1 (opposite the Rotunda hospital on Parnell Sq). Can anyone advise me on good pubs or eating places in this area and also anywhere that plays Indie music in the evening ?

Thanks.

The cheapest way has got to be the ordinary bus, route 16A seems to be the one you need assuming you meant Lower Camden Street. This will drop you close, the fare stage stop called Aungier St. is just before it, whether there is a stop closer is something you could ask the hotel.

The fare is a €2.00 each way. (17 stages). The 747/748 express services are dearer and don't go as far as you need.

GOGARTYS Going here for a night as me and a mate fancied a pint in Dublin and thanks to Ryanair the trip will be cheaper than a taxi fare from here in Wolves to Birmingham!!
Anyone stopped at Gogartys before? Whats it like and where are the best bars nearby?

Dublin is expensive especially now with the bad pound to euro ratio - but its possible to eat out reasonably enough, lots of pub grub available. Drink is expensive though so be warned, Temple Bar area particularly as it caters for tourists and lashes on the prices. However the friendly atmosphere and welcoming nature of the Irish will make it a great few days :tup

Anyone know of any good cheap b&bs or hotels in Dublin.

Need to book 2 nights in August but single rooms and dont want to pay a lot!

Thu Dublin city uni has rooms cheap but its 6 miles or so out of the city i gather?Trinity college is expensive.

Max of about £40 a night pref less.

Dont want a hostel, but non en suite ok or uni digs.

Can anyone recommend Travelodge/Premier Inn style accommodation near to Dublin city centre please?

All I need is a room for three people with towels supplied and a shower! Basic is fine, we'll only be in the room from about 7pm until about 6am.

I'm going to a music festival at Marlay Park and need to get there as early as poss on Wednesday 13th August as I've just found out it's highly likely wristbands will be given out for those at the front of the queue to access the golden circle.
We were going to fly over on the Wednesday morning but I'm now considering flying over on the Tuesday evening instead.

Thanks.

Pippy :)

Thanks Ali!

I'm going to go ahead and book Barnacles in Dublin, THIS one.
As you know, there are about thirty or so members of the Muse forum staying there so it's going to be a very interesting experience to say the least!

I'm going to book a four person room. There are only three of us so I'm about to ask on muse.mu if anyone wants to take the fourth bed.

€87 for the room which is quite good I think. Facilities look fine and rooms look clean and comfortable. If I can find someone else to share that will make it even cheaper for me.

This is going to be such good fun! ;)

Remember to ask in the Help & Assistance forum for the Harding to be added to our reviews site if it's not there already.

Nipping over to Dublin again as Ryanair have the 1p flights again just for June. Probably just going to stay one night in Dublin and then head up to Enniskillen to visit my Son and family. Everytime there is a deal I'm off. Love it!!
