has anyone stayed in this hotel recently as thinking of booking up for easter .i know where it is but getting different reports and wandered if anyone has stayed here in the last couple of months,,,thanks

Only 2 weeks til we go now If anyone else has stayed here this year would be nice to know what to expect - the reviews seem really mixed, will let you know what it's like when we return

Overall the hotel was pretty good value and what we expected for the price we paid. the rooms were clean, tho the fans a bit noisy, but we took ear plugs for at night, as the weather was colder than expected we woke up cold most nights and ended up turning it off anyway! the shower in my room was fine, but one of my friends had a shower next to the toilet that was a lot smaller and def not as nice as our own apartment so the rooms def vary.
The main downside was one of the guys working there - mainly at night was a complete perv, there were 6 of us staying there, 5 of us girls in our 20s and 30s, the guy tried to drag 2 of my friends into the bushes, he wasnt that forceful luckily when they put up a fight, but it wasnt nice and we had to make sure we stayed in groups when coming and going from the hotel. depends on your age as i think we were the only young people there, but watch out if you're female for this guy - his name was *** btw and he's dodgy!
Apart from that incident no complaints at all, just a shame about the pervy guy really

When out of season most places are very slow to respond, (had to get my mate Ganesh to nip round to the Sunset Hotel last year to let them know I had e-mailed them !) and when they do get round to checking mail, quite a few can be missed, but keep trying and good luck.

If staying at Beira Mar, and want to make friends with the taxi drivers,get them to take you to East Meets West restaraunt, its only 50mtrs,they will do it for free.they use to get a good commision last year it was 50rps per person.
