Dont worry about the reviews on trip advisor. L  ast year we went to the Xanadu and just before we went it had a few bad reviews. I could not see why it was a very very high standard. I think you cannot please all of the people all of the time

hi, we are thinking of visiting the hotel also in september, with our 2 year old, but we are a bit worried as ramadan happens during september and was wondering if this affects your stay in anyway, if anyone knows please let us know, we have read in the first choice brochure "that visitors may be requested to refrain from eating, drinking and smoking in public places during daylight hours :que "

hi kirstin, that is also the date we were planning to go from gatwick, what times have the flights change to please

:D Hi gould,

Just to let you know that that our flight time has gone from 7.55am to 7.35am and that i haven't been told anything about ramadan.

We were in Bitez during Ramadan and it made no difference at all. The only time it arose was one evening in a restaurant all the staff suddenly dashed off and sat down to eat as soon as they had served us, because they were starving from not eating all day and the time when they could eat had arrived.

Gould, almost opposite the Delphin palace is a little parade of shops including a chemist so you would be able to get nappies etc there. You could also get them from hotel shop, but they are much dearer there. Denny

:cheers thanks for that denny, i take it you have been, can you tell me anything about the sort of food they do and what the milk is like, as me baby is very fussy at mo with food, and while we were in cyprus last year he lived on chips, so hoping he will be out of it by time we go lol,

The food is lovely, I'm sure your baby won't struggle to find something to eat, our 12month old grandaughter certainly didn't!!! The milk is ok too. It's an excellent hotel - you will love it I'm sure. Denny

any ideas what the best currency is to take, i have heard some people take euro's and some take lira, whats genrally the best

Convert a few GBP into YTL here in the UK for any purchases when you land and for tips etc. Then convert the bulk of your GBP to YTL in resort, the exchange rates there are better than at home.

You can either take folding money if you prefer, or take your debit card, you will find plenty of ATM's. Just ensure that your card issuer knows that you are overseas. Also check their charges. The best is Nationwide.

Euros get mentioned a lot, simply because there are a wide variety of European visitors to the region, and it is easy for businesses to display comparative prices in Euros.

Hope that this helps.
