Doh, & there was me thinking I'd found something new & exciting.......trust me, I'm always behind the times.
Thanks David.
Although another snippet of info, I was just looking at Easyjets website, apparently, they will honour the 23kg's hold allowance that we got when we booked with GB/BA, that cheers me up a little considering I have 2 flights booked with them.
I bet someone else has already said this.....
Deb.
All we need now is for easyJet to post on their site that they will honour the pre-booked seating, meals, drinks and IFE we paid for
Excellent news regarding the luggage allowance, and completely contrary to what was implied by BA in the last communication I had from them a couple of weeks ago. When will this whole mess be sorted out? We were originally told back in October that it would be approximately 8 weeks and that has passed long ago. I'm concerned that we may have to claim our refund almost instantly when it is offered as I'll be abroad for a week from 24th February and I've already paid out for alternative flights.
Have just phoned the free phone number that was on the email sent to me before christmas regarding GB airways and Easy Jet, Easy Jet are now answering that number and I was told that the sale has now gone through and i should receive an email confirming this sometime today.
Regards
Karen
Hi Karen,
The number i phoned this morning was 0800 612 7279. When i phoned that number on Tuesday GB airways answered now Easy jet answeres I have just phoned BA to try and get more confirmation from them they said that although the sale has gone through they are waiting for some communication that will confirm to them that it has gone through. Once they receive that BA will contact people either by phone or email to let them no.
Regards
Karen
Many thanks, Karen. I'll see how I get on!
I've just spoken to a very helpful lady on the above number. We will be hearing from BA today and given a reference number. If we then ring Easyjet and quote that number they will be able to authorise a refund immediately.
I will be very interested to see what Easyjet are going to offer those who are going to stay with them, in my opinion, it wouldn't hurt for them to give those who had booked with BA/GB, perhaps, free speedy boarding & a voucher for food/drink on the flight. Well, they are giving us the same hold allowance.
I will be travelling with them, are many of you doing the same?
Just interested to know.
Deb.
I have just phoned the above number, a gentleman answered & gave me a number 0870 850 9850, & told me that if I phone that number I can ask for a refund. I did, & it's a BA number. I chose the refund department, & the man I spoke to there said it was "going through as we speak" & told me that if I phone back in about an hour I will then be given "the full information"... ??? MY REFUND ... I HOPE !!
This is strange, I just went on to Easyjets website & on the first page on the latest news it said words to the effect of ' Easyjet has now acquired GB/BA ' so I clicked on it & it said something like bad server - I can't rember exactly, so I went back to the first page & it has gone back to something to do with Stanstead - I am 100% positive I didn't imagine it...!!!
OR am I going completely mad here....
Deb.
I hope you all get joy soon and maybe some compensation!! I am so glad I decided to go for a refund early on and actually received it.

So, we shall all now be awaiting our emails!
Deb.
Thank god, I'm not going mad, here is the link to the page I thought I saw a while ago, not that it tells us anything new So, we shall all now be awaiting our emails!
Deb.
Now I can start to look forward to our break.
Have you just received it today regarding your GB flights, also, we were told our flight times would not change, is it by much?
Thanks.
Deb.
I've just received my email too - unsure whether to accept the flights though as I can't have guaranteed seating together (travelling with a disabled child). I phoned the number Karen kindly posted but easyJet said I would have to pay for speedy boarding to try and get seats together but this still wouldn't be guaranteed Busily trying to find alternative flights now!
Still waiting for mine, interested to see if flight times have changed.
Have you checked your flights on the easyJet site Deb?
Yes, our flight times were 5.40 am, with BA/GB - Easyjet
are only showing 5.55am flights, I know this for sure because I booked 2 friends of ours on these flights yesterday for our september holiday.
Also checked on manage my booking on BA website & it still shows our flights & booking on there...!
Confused - you will be!!!!
