I am really frustrated. I got up early (4 am) because I could not sleep. I made the mistake and weighed myself. I have put on 2lbs overnight and I have SW weigh in this morning and was hoping to get my very first 'silver 7'. I haven't eaten anything I shouldn't have, so I assume it is just a little extra water.
Isn't it annoying how fickle body weight is? I bet if I were to weigh myself tomorrow, I would have lost the 2lbs.
If, when I get weighed, I don't get my silver 7, I will not beat myself up about it. I will just do my best and hopefully I will get it next week.
I dont know where it went wrong this week as I had been sticking to diet. Only thing I can think of is I was ill over the weekend and didnt eat enough.
Well its back to business this morning going to be totally focused this week and get the offending 2lb off again
Congratulations to everyone who has and are going to lose weight this week
Sidney - I know how you feel, is'nt if funny how weight can fluctuate so much.
Goodluck with your silver 7 I hope you do it
I hope that you are all losers again this week Keep up the good work
Oh, our SW class had about 20 new members last night. Summer hols must be coming up soon
Lynn
Writing this message from work so will be quick.
I maintained last night was okay with that as I had previously had 2 good weeks. If I can shed 2lb for next week I will get my lst stone award - I have been going since April 2007.
Just about to book our summer holidays so another incentive.
Speak soon.
Irene
Lynn - it's really maddening to behave all week and then not to get the results we hope for isn't it? Never mind there's always next week.
Sydney - Hope you did lose, things may be very different this morning. Good Luck!!!
Keep going everyone!!!!
Well done to everyone who has lost this week and good luck for the coming week.
Denny
Sydney I used to weigh myself all the time ( go the loo get weighed) In the end my hubby made me throw the bathroom scales away as i was getting obsessed with it all. And i found that if i had gained on my scales i would say " oh whats the point" and eat and drink things that i shouldnt only to get to class a few days later and i had lost after all ( could have been more if i hadnt up yet again. The scales did creep from the shops back into the bathroom but i dont bother with them now, not much point when i pay to be weighed in class and at least i know they are going to be right.
I lost another 2 an a 1/2lb today and i am really pleased thats 9 and a 1/2lb in four weeks (1/2 more and its a dress size )
Goodluck guys and gals
Kerrie
I haven't been weighed yet. My daughter has been really ill and I couldnt make my class on Tuesday night. My consultant does another class on Thursday morning so I fully intend to make that one. Fingers crossed for that. I have been quite good this past week although did go for a meal on Saturday night (dad's birthday). I did decline the alcohol and stuck to diet coke though which is a thumbs up for me. It was lunch at my mum's on Sunday which wasn't exactly diet food, especially because I had to have some birthday cake (it would have been rude not to ).
Anyway. Here's to a good week all. Will check back on Thursday to let you all know the damage.
Keep up the good work.
Sarah
Well done Kerrie, 9.5 lbs in 4 weeks!! That's excellent. Keep going !!!!
I cannot believe it. Between 4 am and 9:30 (weigh in time) I actually lost the 2lbs I had put on over night. I have lost 3 1/2 lbs since last week, and because I lost weight last week (only 1/2 lb), I was slimmer of the week. Our group are usually very generous and everyone brings in something for the slimmer of the week to take home. I bought home a massive and very heavy bag full of goodies.
Apparently, silver 7's are Weight Watcher rewards. Slimming World have their own stickers. In total I have lost 9lbs since I joined SW five weeks ago (I have another 2 stone to go). I was so happy, I floated out of the group today. I have never had Slimmer of the Week before. I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen again, because after 9 lbs, the weight loss slows down for me.
Our group leader gave us a very strange recipe to try. Cook some pasta, mix it with baked beans; put it in an oven proof dish and put grated cheese on the top. Cook it in the oven until the cheese has cooked. Apparently, it is lovely and creamy. I will try that dish tomorrow.
Sheila.
Sheila have you tried the pasta quiche yet thats nice Let me know if you havnt and i will post how to make it.
Kerrie
No, I have not tried the pasta quiche, but I have made the ordinary quiche which I must say is rather moreish especially if you put bacon in it.
Please post your recipe.
Sheila.
I love all the sausages (abit to much to be honest but hey there FREE ) my favourite are cumberland
I have had the chinese meat balls a few times but there seems to be some sort of seed in them ( mustard i think) and they taste gritty to me but yes i did eat them all.
I have not tried the burgers because i normally make my own but i am sure they are gorge too.
Anyone who can get them i would go for it because they are gorgeous!!!!
oh and sinfree
Kerrie
Well done to everyone who lost weight and chin up to those who didnt, I got weighed today and lost 1/2lb... which was disappointing but these things happen!
Fingers crossed for next week
Julie
I'm definately going to get some of those then, I'm thinking I'll mainly get the sausages, but maybe a couple of other things
Can't wait to try them now!
THe only explanation I have is that the last few weeks I have really tried and only had very small losses so hope that basically everything that should have come off previously dropped off at the same time.
I am having trouble coming up with new meals and ideas now though , I am sure the whole family is benefiting from our new way of cooking - What do people use for snacks/easiness on red days as I struggle without noodles/cous cous
Not a bean off on the SW scales this morning. Grrrr.... I have been walking 4 days this week.Anyway, never mind.At least I didn't put on. Perhaps next week will see a loss. I shall continue as usual.Well done all you losers
Sorry Sheila i have not been online for a few days.
Pasta quiche is made with bachelors pasta n sauce make up as directed ( with water only) let it cool.
250g cottage cheese ( please dont let this put you off if you dont like it, because neither do i but you cant taste it)
Any free veg, spinach, mushrooms, onion garlic whatever you fancy.
3 eggs
Mix cottage cheese, veggies and eggs together and season well. when pasta has cooled add to the other mixture and stir well ( i must admit it doesnt look to pretty but it does taste nice when cooked ) Coat oven proof dish with frylight and place the mixture evenly in dish. Cook on gas mark 5 for 20 mins until set and browned. I have this with sinfree chips and beans.
You can also stir in 1oz of mature cheddar ( B section) to the mixture before cooking yum ( if your eating it all the same day) or if you heat in the mic you can add to the pasta quiche and some in the beans ( i do this) It is yummy and without the cheese its sinfree ( check pasta has no sins first) I normaly use mild cheese and brocolli or spag bol.
I also had no cottage cheese today and i used 4 eggs in the mixture instead of 3 and it came out really nice ( infact dont think i will bother with the cottage cheese from now on)
By the way i had it for my lunch today and i am having the rest for my dinner
Sunaholic Go for the sausages i promise you wont be dissapointed! Do you have them near were you live or will you have to order them online

Can't see anywhere on the site where it says who stocks them, so it looks like I'll have to order them online.
I have decided to have a mix to max day every sunday now as i can have a full english in the morning and my roast in the evening I only tried the mix to max last week because i was alittle frightened i was going to do it wrong and after ALL my years at SW it just didnt seem right to be able to mix the days. Hey ho it worked cos i did it last week and i lost 2.5lb.
Its great when you have a holiday to look forward to because it really keeps you on the straight and narrow diet wise
Can anyone remember the recipe for the chicken you do with the diet coke and the minestroni ( spelling?) soup please. Its supposed to be lovely but i cant remember how to make it
Kerrie
I love trying new recipes and have copied out yours for the quiche - going to make it while I am off for half term this week as it would be lovely for a lunch.
Just one question which flavour sauce do you use?
Thanks Irene
4 weeks in, and my first stone is now gone!
