We arrive in Goa on Sunday to move into our new apartment in Candolim Anyway, I would love for my dad to be able to join us for a week or so maybe next season. He would love to see more of the world and Italy is the only place he's seen so far.
He's nearly 82 and has kidney failure so is on dialysis 3 days a week, so while we are there I would like to investigate what facilities are available and the likely cost.
Any suggestions or is it a bad idea?
Maybe see you later in the year or next year.
I hope your Dad manages to get to Goa for a holiday, that would be smashing.
I can't wait to see the apartment, the furniture is being fitted at the moment and I'm dying to get there. The journey is a bit of a long one, we are setting off around 9am on Saturday but don't get to Goa until Sunday lunchtime. We are going via Doha and Mumbai so a lot of waiting around in airport lounges to look forward to.
I will post another 'working holiday' report when we get back which I think may involve a lot of shopping.
Back on topic - Keeping my fingers crossed that Dad can visit, he keeps saying that the flight is very long isn't it? So he's been thinking about it. He'd sleep through most of the flight but it's what happens when he arrives that concerns me.
Vrundavan Hospital in Mapsa is supposed to be 1st class (thankfully I've never had to spend any time in hospital over here). Vrundavan also manage The Matthew Braganza Hospital in Calangute, it might be worth your while calling in when you get out here to see if they can do anything for your dad.
Good luck with everything...hope the move goes well.
