You probably need to do a few internet searches on the El Paso on the eclipse or first choice web-sites, but I would think that July and August would be the most expensive times and possibly the week that the spring bank holiday falls in. You could try by looking at dates either the begining of May, or perhaps the 2nd/3rd/4th week in September when the kids have just gone back to school. That way should be off-peak price-wise but hopefully the weather will be OK.
We have booked with F/C to go 26th Sept and it cost us for a family of four £1450 for 10 nights half board. A lot of people have stated that their Oct Halloween show which goes on is amazing and goes on all month therefore we are going to give it a go..
Just thought I would let you know.

You dont get tickets sent through the post to you, a voucher is emailed instantly to you which you print off and take to the park where it is exchanged for your 7 (consecutive) day passes on production of photo identification. It was much cheaper than 365tickets.com etc.
Ive also found a useful 'unofficial website' http://www.pafans.com - a Portaventura fans website that has got the answer to nearly every question posed! Height restrictions, maps, directions, shows calender, which rides are open when etc etc...and well worth a look!
26 sleeps to go!!
Had a good hunt to find the cheapest deal for our 7 day visit to Salou - 7 days for 3 offer using the discount code 'pv7for3' with attraction tix (You dont get tickets sent through the post to you, a voucher is emailed instantly to you which you print off and take to the park where it is exchanged for your 7 (consecutive) day passes on production of photo identification. Unfortunately for the kids the water rides Silver River Flume and Tutuki Splash will be closed when we are there and I dont know if they'll be fireworks in the evening but thats what you get when you go out of season - hopefully no queues though!!
My 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son have checked out videos of the rides etc and have already got the tape measure out to see which ones they are tall enough to ride on . My son would suffer the rack to get on some of them to meet the minimum height but it just aint going to happen! Never done a theme park holiday abroad and im now thinking I should have booked a hotel at the park instead!!
We are staying at Cap Salou if anyone out there has any tips of getting back and forth from the park . As I understand it it theres plenty of buses and landtrains, god forbid if its a nice day we might even walk?!
Mine have done the tape measure thing and been on to look at the vids of rides too (mind you i am as bad )
We have been before but didnt stay at the park, the place we are going this time is just a few blocks from were we stayed lastime so we should be ok.
Sorry but i cant comment on cap salou but i am sure you will get lots of replies on here from people who do know.
Have a great holiday
Kerrie
the other flume was closed hope this helps
hi, im off to salou in june for the 2nd time, we stayed in doranda palace last time 4 years ago, this time we are staying at the salauaris palace. wondered if anyone could tell me wheres cheapest place to get theme park tickets. i brought them in uk last time but cant remember which website. if someone could recomend some that would be great. also has the theme park changed much in 4 years, any new rides etc. il be with my hubby plus 3 boys of 16,15 and 7. thanks
I got my PA tickets from 365 tickets and for 3 adults and 1 child for 14 days it was £206. I found them to be the cheapest, they also send out the tickets and others you have to print your confirmation off from the email they send you and then take it to the park.
We are staying at the calypso and they seem to be very child friendly ( never heard of toddlers not being allowed in the pools thats terrible)
On the reviews most people seem to rave about the entertainment, so it might be worth a look at the calypso but i do know its about a 10 min walk to the beach ( so not to close) but if you have a buggy that shouldnt be a problem.
Happy holidays
Kerrie
http://www.keithprowes.com found them to be a good price
we whent to the dorarda palace about 4year ago as well we got our tikets for the theme park through
http://www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk last year and got a very good deal on 14 day passes.
As for new rides, I'm not sure what was there 4 years ago, were Dragon Khan or Hurakan Condor? Furios Baco will definitely be new to you, it opened last year. It's a very fast roller coaster which goes out over the lake. Your 7 year old might not be allowed on though, as the height restriction is 1.4m minimum.

Ive just checked the site for you and the discount code is still valid. What is more annoying is if Id waited until now Id only be paying £196!!
We will be there in 9 sleeps time! Weather looks naff so Im assuming we will be at the park all week. Then again Im sure these sites such as accuweather make it all up on these 15 day forecasts!! - but that another topic.....

I have just relised that my tickets only cost £2 more than yours and mine are for 14 days with 3 adults and 1 child. Think i got a really good deal now
Kerrie
everything ive seen says that i WONT be able to use the beach club as its not available to guests at the el paso.....however
first choice brochure and cust service say " yes its park of the deal for guests at el paso " but frankly all the evidence suggests that is NOT the case ..... its really a big deal to us and to the enjoyment of our hols, they wont put it in writing that its available and are basically rubbish !!! they even deny that the rooms at PA hotels are only available after 3pm when everyone knows that its true lolol !!!!
can any of you good people advise ? am i being fed a load of tripe ? many thanks xxxxx
I cant answer your questions but doepsmc may be able to help cos i think they have stayed there twice. why not try to PM them for more info
Kerrie
