Sorry forgot to say that sometimes it can be a downfall when going with a friend as this can often happen.

I go to class on my own now and its much better.

Hi GG,
PLEASE try and persuade your mate to go with you, I bet she will have lost some or at least maintained.... If she won't go, PLEASE try and go yourself!!! I agree with everything Kerrie says and just because you had some treats don't think you have blown the whole week- I'm sure you haven't ( and I bet your friend hasn't either).
Before I joined SW in Oct,I use to try and diet on my own, but if I had a few treats I would think that I had blown the whole week, so I would just pig out!! SW has taught me that this is not true, if you have a blow out, just draw a 'line under it' and get back on track ASAP. That way you will limit any damage.
You have done so well, please don't give up now!!!
Good luck and keep at it....

Hi all

:welcome oafctid You sound like you have a really healthy diet anyway so maybe you will have to exercise to lose your stone. Try looking at your 3 meals aday and see if there is anything you could change ( if you have chips swop to jacket potato) things like that. Goodluck :tup

Irene welldone on your 1.5lb :clap you will get that 10.5 in no time at all. stick with it.

Glittergirl how did you get on :que Did you get your friend to go to class and did you go?? hope so. Let us know how you got on.

Hi everyone
Kerrie well done on your loss:clap -stone and a half award next week?
Denny - well done on maintaining.
I seriously thought about if I maintained again last night I was going to try the 'FF' plan although it looks very strict - maybe a few days would be a help - however I have just come back from doing another big Asda shop with some very healthy foods - more than normal as I had more time to think as I am off work. I have planned a weeks worth of menus and am varying things, my target wight of 9 stone 7lb is only 10.5 lbs away and I have set a plan to do that by end Apr/beg May. If I succeed I will be a few pounds heavier that I was when my youngest son was born and he is 13 on 7th May. :really
Keep up the good work everyone lets all give 100% this week and it will show in the results at WI.

Hi all.
Well done Irene & Kerrie on your losses and Denny, well done on maintaining.

Well, after a few weeks of being in two minds, I have made the decision to give class a miss for a few weeks. Im not committing myself 100% at the moment and I feel that its a waste of money, my time and my consultant's time. Im not going to go completely off the rails - I promise! Ive done too much over the last year to ruin it all but I just want to relax for a bit. Its really stressing me out to be honest.

I think I know the diet well enough now to spread my wings for a while and so im going to give myself about 4-6 weeks and then perhaps rejoin the group when I can give the commitment that it requires and be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it again.

I did weigh on my scales this week and ive stayed the same weight as I was when I last weighed at group 4 weeks ago. Not bad going really, what with Easter in the mix.

I will be around though and popping on every so often. Still planning on going away in June (booking a late deal if we can get one).

Good luck everyone and no naughtiness please ;)

Sarah :)

Hi Sarah
Thought we had not heard from you for a while - well done on staying the same for 4 weeks. As you say you know the plan very well and I am sure you will be fine. You must do what you know is right for you, if you continue doing something that you can't give nearly 100% you may end up really hating it so keep in touch we need you as you have been great when we have all need guidance.

I had my weigh in this morning.

I knew I had put on weight because I felt really bloated due to the excesses of Easter. I had only put on 1 pound, which isn't too bad because I find it easier to lose the 1 pound than 2 or more.

I picked up several food diaries and am starting from the beginning again as I must admit I had stopped weighing and measuring my healthy extras and syns.

Yes, well done Kerrie, Thats great especially with Easter, well done again!. Nice to hear from you again Sarah and well done for maintaining for 4 weeks - you must be pleased about that?

Big welcome to oafctid, your diet seems ok? maybe a bit of exercise is needed? Hopefully it will be easier for us all to exercise with the warmer weather coming? I'm looking forward to the lighter nights so I can go walking in the evenings. Aim to do it every night -bar weekends. Just about to put on an exercise DVD and do a workout before hubby and son get home from work.

Talk soon Denny

Referring to the begining of this thread that seems miles back now - I just wanted to say that by cutting out most carbs from my diet, resulted in me losing 11 llbs in 1 week! Whilst this would not be healthy to keep up, it just goes to show that 1 week of hardly any carbs (bread, potatos, rice and pasta) you can lose those stubborn pounds that you dont want to take on holiday with you!

After 2 months on a very healthy low carb diet i have lost 2 stone and cant wait to go to sharm in 8 weeks time where ill be showing off the new me!

By the way, if your wondering what to substitute your meals with, its quite simple

Bread = Crackerbread/Rivita/Low fat crackers (lovely with marmite and low fat dairylee spread on )
Potatos = Raosted veg! Peppers, courgettes, onions and mushrooms -with lots of mixed herbs on top and a spray of low cal fry lite
With regards to rice and pasta - i just dont eat it at all!

Have to have it after eastenders now though. I am really suffering trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day (finding it sooooo hard) I normally have loads of tea but one of my changes this week is to drink more water and see if it does anything weight wise.
