Has anyone used the spa facilities at Hol village. Are they expensive and are the beauty therapists men or women as they were all men in Egypt. Not that I mind but would prefer a woman.
Only 9 weeks to go

First went here when it had just opened in 2005,The whole family really enjoyed it.We are all looking forward to returning this year.
Only 64 days for us to go
9 of us going
Getting excited now, tickets have arrived. Only 20 days to go
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you
We had a jacuzzi suite two years ago, they're really nice. Ours was a wee bit different from the couple we met over there. Ours had the main door into a hallway, which was turn left into a separate bedroom, straight ahead into a bathroom, turn right into the main sitting room which converted into a big double room. There was plenty of room in it even with the bed down. There was a reasonable size balcony off the sitting room which overlooked the spa gardens. There are other jacuzzi suites up near the reception areas which where similar but slightly different layout.
Yes there were fridges in the rooms. You won't need to buy milk, you can get milk for the kids from all the restaurants and bars. The staff will quite happily fill up your bottle for you at the bars and you can do it yourself in restaurants.
Hope this helps.

When does the Holiday Village open for the season? - it will be interesting to hear whats its like now that both resorts are under First Choice.
It opened May 1st, usually get a small trickle of holidaymakers then, last year we arrived on 6th May to the Iberostar Tropical as it was then. Perhaps open a new topic for the new year?
you mentioned you can get milk from the bar, do you know if its cow's milk? i only ask as my baby will be 8 months when we go in june, normally we just hunt in the shops for milk with a picture of a cow on it!!!
At 8 months will the wee one not still be on formula? I would recommend taking your own tins with you if so.
The issues with the 2 that didnt like it was that the food was not up to scratch, long queues for the ice cream which only available between 1 - 2, and the pools really cold.
Perhaps we need to hear some more reviews but doesnt sound too good!!

we went to this hotel in 2007 & they had ice cream all day as far as i can remember, & has for the food it was fine, loads of choice, lovley salads, main dish of the day is cooked fresh non-stop so yes you might have to wait a few mins but it's fresh so what's the problem with that.
We have done it other way round. We went to HV Red Sea last year and are going to HV Turkey in 2 weeks time!!!

The Ice cream last year was avilable all day. We are not going back this year as we have decided to try Crete, but we already have the FC 2009 brochure and are considering the PP for next summer. It all depends on what the reviews are like now they have merged the Palace and Tropical together in to huge resort. I'll be watching the reviews and discussion threads carefully.
We've been twice to PP now, in 2006 when it was all one resort with Tropical, and last year when it was "seperate". TBH it was no different really, we still wandered over to the tropical side to use their pool and slides. Only difference was the wrist band so we sent the kids to get drinks from the self service bit when they got thirsty. The clientele was more varied at Tropical last year, dutch, german and brits whereas PP was all brits. I don't think you'll see much difference.

I am going on the first year it was opened. The combined hotels were featured on Holidays From Hell and GMTV where they showed crowds of people and long, LONG queues at the bar. Personally I feel it should stay seperate.
Anyone already been or going shortly so you can give us some up to date info/reviews/pics of how it is this year now they've put both sides together.
It would be good to get some info on trips, best places to shop, etc etc.
Any info at all would be great and anyone else wanting to ask questions feel free
13 weeks to go
The 2007 thread is still running here http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=90369&p=1187418#p1187418 if you go to the last page you'll get all the latest info.
