Just checked my Nationwide account statement and I got up to 79 first week of April....woo hoo!!

Whilst I used my nationwide account in Goa, I found that I had a higher rate, than the money changer were using , every time I used it, it is a brilliant way of getting your rupees. Better than cash ot travellers cheques.

Ok, this might be a stupid question.....when people are saying they "use their nationwide card" in Goa, do they mean withdrawing money from an ATM? Or using it to buy rupees?

Im going to Goa next Tuesday for the first time, so I just wondered what the set up was.

Many thanks!

Checked the sterling rate along the calangute high street and it is now 78.50 (17/04)

The highest sterling rate was at 79.20 (21/04)

Slight variation between some money changers along the Calangute high st lowest was 78.80, that works out at 40 rupees on a £100

Re Oz currency
all posts (unless I've missed something) seem to relate to UK / Euro currency. Can anyone advise on whether oz currency easy to exchange in Goa? Or should I rely on ATMs?
